Correct me if im wrong, but this wasnt a deleted scene- it was an extra scene in the movie “visions of a god”, which was just the first 25 episodes condensed into a 90 minute movie- but from ryuks perspective

Listen fam, Kira is the greatest. NO ONE else could have changed the world where criminals fear crime and peaceful people live peacefully. He topped L, Mello and Near had to work together, but only a mistake from someone other than him brought him down. PS DO BERSERKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK IT'S DOPE

Yeah, I think Light's spike of crazy in this scene was part of why most people (myself included) thought it would be better to save this until the end. We never really see him go that far over the edge in the show itself until the very end, when everything is coming apart, so it would be a little jarring if you had watched this at the halfway point instead, I think. I mean the crazy laugh is literally the exact same as the one he does at the warehouse, and they even show the scenes of Ryuk writing down his name at the end too (though I guess you wouldn't know the significance behind them in Episode 25).
