Light is a complete sociopath, he doesn’t let his emotions get in the way of his intelligence and i think thats a beautiful character writing, and the music chosen for him gives you the same emotionless vibe light has. Light wasn’t good nor evil, like he couldn’t go to heaven nor hell. He is a human being with an own way of thinking about the world and how it should be. Light was a person with a believe, a really realist ethical dilemma. Light is one of the most best characters ever written in my book

When you are an ideal kid in human society... You might think that why don't others do things differently like the way you think it should be done. But his intelligence took the most part of him being a human. He always used to contemplate upon how the modern society is in a so called 'rotten' state. Once he realises that death note has such immense power; it naturally urges him to think that , with help of this he can give a new shape to the society and make it a 'better' place. But in the process he becomes so consumed that he starts killing people in the sake of doing a greater good the the society. This was when he looses his humanity and becomes a mass murderer. Death note is a very conceptual, realistic take on how humans who are unable to control their thinking or have low considerate/comapssionate nature can be the most destructive to the human society itself.

@JAMS Dream I don't really think it was. Pretty sure it's said by the author that the only weakness L had was the little emotion he had. Light and N didn't have that weakness they never showed remorse or emotion. L clearly was a little upset that it was coming to an end because either Light would have to find a way to deal with L before the 13 days were up or L would use it to win against him if he didn't die.

Death Note was a late start for me. I didn't get to it until years later than everyone else and finally understood what people meant when they said it was good and bad at the same time. It won my heart and broke it all at once. The ending left me feeling cheated tbh but the score never disappointed me. Thank you RUDE for this.
