@@ianvader4697 Yeah that happened once. Once only, 72 was a wet race also. I love Holdens but lets face it, the LJ, either in series prod or imp prod was not that fast a car, you need to look no further than a current day Nc field for the evidence of what either car is capable of.

When did any falcon ever finish 1st to 6th at bathurst in the 70s ( or ever) ? Let alone set the fastest lap and record on lap 161 ?!? Pretty sure the phase falcons were around 20 secs per lap slower at bathurst than the A9X torana ;-)

Looked like the shift light was set for around 7200 rpm. Frequently hit 7500. Hit 7800 at least twice and it looked like maybe 7900 once. My guess is the revs took their toll. Good fun until she broke.
