Good movie? Not a particularly good story, pretty generic with no real characters. Everyone was very generic. Setup for the Death Race? Kinda retarded. On the one hand you want characters to be favorites (like Frankenstein), on the other, in universe all the racers die every tournament except apparently all of them. Everyone was introduced as if they had all raced before, but then all but 4 of them die before warden bitch starts cheating and bending the rules. So either they didn't really race each other or nobody really died previously. Overall I give it a 6/10 It has pretty good action, but that's pretty much all it has. The characters are skin deep. Warden bitch is a bitch because she's a bitch. I watched this movie a couple of times as a teenager and remember the motivations of literally 3 people. Statham's character wanted to leave. Bitch wanted ratings by repeatedly and obviously murdering the public's favorite driver (literally retarded) and machine gun joe wanted to kill frankenstein. I remember literally nobody else.
