that is exactly why you have to rot in death row for 20 years before you get executed. if it was only 15 Minutes it be too easy!

@@KandiKlover No, he is wrong and so are you. It is not possible to know what person would think , how a person would react and how they would feel about execution, until he or she is placed in the situation. You are pretending to know things that we do not know. Never having been placed in this dire situation, I have no idea what my thoughts would be, and I don't believe that any of us can really know. Yes, people on death row have said what you suggest, and others have said just the opposite.

I think the executions should happen right away. When we wait 20 + years, we are no longer executing the same person who did the crime. Think about how much change a person goes through in 20 years. Now we are killing old, remorsful people who would probably not do what that younger version of themselves did. The person who did the crime should be the person who goes down while they are in the same mind set.

For some cases for sure, mass shooters should not spend anything more than a two years on the row or any case that has evidence beyond a shadow of doubt, meaning extremely clear video evidence should be fast tracked. But some of executions over the last year or so I have reviewed that definitely have more questions to answer and it seemed more like people did not want to take the time to answer. I fully support the death penalty but there needs to be a serious overhaul of what is a capital crime and what kind of evidence needs to be presented during the jury trial.

To hide the fact he was an illegitimate child, Bundy was raised as the adopted son of his grandparents and was told that his mother was his sister. Raised in a broken family as Dahmer was .. the psychological ramifications of this alone is scary enough, then add other environmental factors such as the inability of those around to nurture with dignity and respect.. is a bomb waiting to blow. We need each other to heal ... My regards,

It's really hard to believe sometimes by just looking and listening to people that they're capable of such evil acts. This man didn't look like a murderer in any way, and it kinda does make you feel sorry for them in a weird sort of way. But you gotta remember what they did do rather than just how they look.

Sam Harris yeah it’s scary how nice some people look yet even they were capable of such horrible things. what’s also kind of sad is that it’s hypocritical that they’re being killed by lethal injection or electric chair for killing their victims only to prove that killing is wrong. But I don’t know I guess some criminals deserve to die, yet I feel sometimes “who are we to say that person deserves to die?” Then again who was that criminal to choose and decide how his victim dies. Loads of mixed feelings about the death penalty.

Yup. My dad passed away from Renal Cell Carcinoma back in 2017,and as the end neared,he became extremely relaxed about the idea. I'm sure him being religious had something to do with it(for him,anyway..there have been tons of reports from ppl with no faith to speak of that reported no fear of death). You go through what Psychology recognizes as 'The Five Stages of Grief',not necessarily an orderly process, and some steps may be skipped altogether, and a person who seems to have accepted it one day may revert back to any of the 4 stages at any time. Personally, if it were me, and I were dying with time to spare, like this guy,or what my dad went through, there are some really, really promising experiments with psychedelics like 'shrooms being undertaken. one incident i watched was where a lady dying of metastatic breast cancer took 'shrooms, and the experience she had was,she said 'like innumerable hands supporting me from below'.

@kiaconey70 You need a reality check. These murderers are put to death for what they did (and could easily do again), not because of hate. I don’t hate them, but I darn sure don’t want them anywhere near me or my family (or anyone else, for that matter). The only way to absolutely ensure that is to end their life. Of course, if you’re willing to take them into your home, feed them, cloth them, care for them, and provide recreation for them, with a plan in place to fully guarantee our safety and security, I’d be willing to reconsider.

Sorry, but when you take another persons life, when you steal a few hundred dollars and decide that getting away to spend that is worth more than a human being...you take the life of a person, a Father, a Son, somebody's husband or wife, all they have to offer, all the experiences they will never have, and you are caught and there is no question of your guilt. It is 100% proven beyond a shadow, not a reasonable, doubt and a guilty plea curries no favour with the judge or jury. All this means that you committed the ultimate, most unforgivable act and as such the only recourse available is for you to lose your own life. It is the only karmic justice suitable, the only way that the universe remains harmoniously balanced and the circle is complete. Any alternate result, prison with no parole, with possible parole etc...is incorrect and unbalances natures supreme logic. Logic which dictates that for symmetry sake an eye for an eye balances the equation sufficiently and calm may be restored.
