Why are there no checkpoints after every time you defeat him? Instead of having to go back through the gauntlets again and again if you die. It's incredibly tedious.

It's not that random really. One line goes out infront of him, the others equidistant around him. Run in a wide circle and you don't get hit

I found out that you just have to go between them back and forth sort of under him. It actually becomes really predictable

The gauntlet part where you have to fight him 3 times was one of the hardest part in the game for me. Glad I was somehow able to overcome that

Had to watch someone else win (after dying so many times) in order to figure out how to dodge the slow down. You video showed me I should have found the better weapons before the end of the game...

I love every part of this boss fight. The gauntlet that leads up is difficult, the last lord is really difficult too, his lines are awesome, AND THAT GOD DAMN MUSIC. Can’t wait to die endlessly whilst getting the academy of umbrellas.

I want the platinum in this so bad but honestly, this game was brutally difficult for me. I actually beat it moments before this post and I'm really glad I stuck through it because game was amazing in every way. I'd really be surprised if I stick with it with a measly umbrella though. Going to try anyway. Good luck with your umbrella run!

@@josephmarturana6752 Finished it a couple months ago, I actually found Betty significantly harder than the past lord and his gauntlet, mainly because she's so hard to learn.

@@kaepora66 Congrats on that! Still debating whether I'll try it or not. This game was pretty tough for me the first time and I usually suck at these challenges. I would have given up if this game wasn't so dam good! Just finishing was a major feat for an older guy like me! Alot of sweat and a thumb blister from using the cross button so much, lol!

That’s the only move that’s getting me, I thought it was unblockable. And I have already beaten all 4 silent sentinels who do the same thing!

After dying over and over from the pink lines, i came to see a strategy....i guess its not supposed to be that hard because apparently this fight just keeps going and going, theres so much after the part i keep dying at 😫

There is a a cheat / glitch in the final phase of this boss. Just don't go up to the stairs fully but instead hit him with arrows from afar. Recharge the arrows using the lamp posts downstairs. 😂

You mean don't go all the way up to trigger the final cut scene before the fight? Don't you need to to trigger the fight?

Ok I see what you mean, go up but don't trigger the scene and shoot from there. But how do you recharge the arrows from the lamp post?

So, I got this wonderful game through my PS+ subscription. I reached the final boss battle and to my dissapointment once the gauntlet starts, there is no turning back and I was kind of underpowered Tried to pass it for 45 minutes, getting my butt kicked every time. turned off the console and gave it a rest for the night., Next morning, it was time for a rematchand I did all three stages in one go. With health refilled it was time to fight The Lord Of The Doors. Ten or so deaths after, the guy was toast. So, don't give up hope. Persist!

Is there a reason why you are using the thunder hammer instead of the Reaper's Greatsword? The greatsword has all better stats. I'm trying to beat this lord right now. He is a pain.

I didn't get the Greatsword prior to beating the game haha. And I liked using the Hammer as well, it was fun.

I did this game using the umbrella on my second play through at the red sword.... despite having all the weapons I dunno the red sword just felt more natural to me ....looks at hollow knight I lovingly blame that game
