One of my favorite albums of all time! Evillllllllll......dead. I think they are both equally influential on death metal but I personally love the catchy song writing of chuck and reifert. Seven churches came out first. love the Dark angel idea

Hard to say I was Around at the very beginning of the Extreme Releases some say Hellhammer others say Possessed of Course Death and others argue Repulsion! It's just like who started Heavy Metal We'll never really know it's all based on Opinion!! 🤘🤘🤘

A Damn Great first Album by a Legacy Death / Thrash / Early Band! Chuck IS King in So many Ways! This is in many ways my Favorite DEAT album, as it is so much "Simpler" than their other things.. Great Video Review! I DEATH the 1st? = Still be contended for 1st! VENOM Could be Still, with "MANATOU".. And Celtic Frost "Emporors Return" and some of "To Mega Therion"! And "Bulldozer Band"! & "Dark Angel" now, who I really do not know, but just heard of. Really OLD Morbid Angel is Thrash! = Like Abolitions of Desecration.. But in 1989 Alters of Madness DEAT Meatal was here to stay! But What is really DEATH Metal? Possessed.. I Really do not Like "Seven Churches"! Now "Beyond the Gates"! (1986), Was Really "Heavy & Thrashy" & I Loved it as a kid, but NOT DEATH Metal! Almost like VENOM! My Analasys is that POSSESSED was NOT the first DEATH! = They were Thrash, just like VENOM, Which is not to be frowned upon! They are Both Great! I Still give it to Celtic Frost or DEATH! Thank You! BTW.. What was Early BATHORY, I ask my Friends out there? Early Noise? iI is Not Thrash, or True BLACK! Maybe SPEED Metal?? I can not name it. Earle Black for sure.. Hmm.. ? And this is until "HammerHeart"! What is this style called!

Sepultura morbid visions and bestial devastation for me I think are death metal.even that they want to be thrash metal. Even they sound more evil than Death and possessed.
