When I was travelling via Miami airport back to London after a holiday in 1981 I spotted Cary Grant striding through the terminal. Our eyes met and he gave me a really wonderful smile. He obviously realised I recognised him. A special moment! Probably 8 years or so before he died. Still A very handsome man!

Hi Jordan, Cary Grant is a favorite of mine from the old silver screen. Cary was a good looking guy who aged gracefully and always looked distinguished. When you think of the actors he worked with, just amazing. They don't make actors like him anymore. Great vlog Jordan.

It's SO rare that I ever hear anyone tell the true story about him living with Randolph Scott. Most people stop at that point to infer innuendo and leave out the fact that their house was known to be akin to a train station with the amount of women arriving and departing. Those 2 were the OG playas. Nice job, as always, Jordan!

Strange how you would leave out the actresses of this heralded Golden Age era of Hollywood. There's a reason why they are more revered today as screen Goddesses than the leading man. Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis, Olivia de Havilland, Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Crawford, Katharine Hepburn, Grace Kelly and many more etc all played their part and were vastly more interesting to look at beyond their incredible acting skills.

I enjoyed the video. I lived in Davenport at the time of Cary Grant's passing. I still have many friends and family there. Seeing The Adler made me homesick. One thing I wanted to mention is the location of St. Luke's Hospital was not by Palmer Chiropractic College. It was located where the current. The Genesis East Hospital is today. The name of St. Luke's Hospital was changed to Genesis East. Same location. I do remember the night this all happened it was very sad.

I'm a huge fan of Cary Grant and know so much about him that I am glad you shared your knowledge with everyone. Sadly he never won an Academy Award - probably because he was so good and so naturally charming in every role he played. I also loved him in Arsenic and Old Lace but I love him in his Hitchcock films as well as those marvelous screwball comedies of the late 1930's. He may have been born British but he is an American Icon- a beloved treasure that no one will ever imitate. Thank you Jordan! ☺️🥰☀️😍❤️😊🌴🦩

Sadly, there are only a few short audio only recordings that were made of these shows, some which have been posted on KZbin.

Attended his Q&A show in '79 or '80. He was very critical of his own performances. Made a point of giving the financials of each film he discussed. His discussion was more about the business of movies than being a 'star' .
