Those people in the background had me on the edge of my seat! I’m new to film photography and I’ve fallen in love! Thank you for sharing your inspiring work!

Imagine how I felt? The sun is quickly going down and those precious minutes are ticking away. I appreciate your kind words. It was a fun video to make.

Thank you. I know my strengths and weaknesses. Having someone else film made all the difference in the world. There is so much going on, I don’t have the extra brain power to do anything else.

Thats awesome. I’m happy to inspire but I’m just as happy to hear someone made it to the end of the video. Haha

Absolutely amazing work, Joe. Thank you also to your wonderful model, and the super BTS footage. The creative vision and the process came together beautifully.

It was 1000% easier having someone else do the filming. That one extra step is enough to make my brain misfire. Thanks for watching.

Thank you. You know what’s funny about the perception of photos is that the last set in the dunes were considered throw away shots to me because we were there two hours too late for the light I wanted. I only included them to stay honest. They definitely came out better than I thought they would considering the quality of light I was working with. Maybe they’ll grow on me.

@@JoeLyman Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge and for including footage of your interactions with people on your KZbin channel. Because the energy you put into your subject will be reflected in the photos. The subject is just as important to me as the lighting and composition you use, and you constantly put the photographer's subject connection on display on most of your videos, which I think is fabulous because most KZbin channels do not put an emphasis on such things.

Thanks for the comparisons and knowledge. Quick question, what photo paper do you prefer for your black and white prints?
@JoeLyman Жыл бұрын
I don’t print my own photos, so I always use matte paper as my choice from the lab.

What are you exactly advising after „close your eyes“ ? „Part lips a bunch?“ Thanks
@JoeLyman Жыл бұрын
If I understand you question correctly, I just tell the subject to slowly open their eyes. This resets the face and removes any tension and almost guarantees not blinking in the photo.
