But the generosity, the kindness and the genuine spirit of you, Taylor, sharing this INCREDIBILE amount of value for free, is rare and amazing. One comment I found to be VERY valuable, and it was very early into the presentation. Include friends and family in your travel photos. It may not mean much when your 20 or 30, but when you get to be in your 60s and above - it will mean a LOT as you look over your body of work. Remembering when you saw Mount Everest is nice, remembering the time you spent with someone you care(d) about is priceless.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” - Aaron Siskind You’re giving couples the best memories they will cherish forever, something their children and grandchildren will forever keep in their hearts. All because of photography ❤️

The most important thing you put on to your camera body is your hands on experience. I have really learned this tip, whatever gear is being used... from camera to foot wear they should fit you like a glove and be as comfortable as wearing slippers. Once familiar with the equipment you find you have more time to think about what you're doing photo wise. I have purchased loads of tripods and honestly I have just purchased a another.I can relax more with my camera z 8 and the lenses I own are all showing their quality. Learn to take photos you think are going to be interesting. That's my tips along with keeping it light and pressing the like button. Enjoy Ur blogging . Cheers

Great tip about the importance of people..while I value some of the nice scenery shots I took in the 2000s in Europe..it is the photos of my parents, uncle, aunties that have since passed on that I treasure most and bring me to tears. Thank you!

Despite your displeasure with the Mount Fuji photo, I love it for the juxtaposition between the countless quaint man-made structures in the foreground against the robust and natural phenomena that is Mount Fuji off in the background, almost like it’s unreachable. Great photo. We often criticize our selves too harshly.

Two good tips right off the bat - use B&W to factor our color and see composition - and factor out “photography” technique and gear by focusing on content and subject... I started with a Nikon FM, two rolls of chrome and a trip to the DR (Dominican Republican) knowing I would only have 72 shots - bracketed - to get my shots... so LOOK, SEE and THINK or FEEL!
@Wozilla13 жыл бұрын
AWESOME tutorial Taylor. After watching this video, I grabbed my camera and popped it in monochrome mode. The shot compositions are so much better already. I also introduced your “graduated framing” technique. Straight off the bat, my first 2 photos look so much better than my previous work, even thought the subject matter was boring. I got so much out of this tutorial! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next one!

Just Started. So this video will be appreciated.

Me in Italy on 36°c with a D850+14-24 ,24-74, 70-200 all with f2.8...after 3 hours I was destroyed. Back pain, neck pain, you name it, I had it. And after that I left the wide and tele in the hotel. And for the last 2 years I have a olympus m43 kit and I am 10 times more happy to have all my lenses with me. Don't let get distracted from the Go full frame if you want good quality.

I'm in the same boat; I went with an Olympus E-M1 iii and the 12-100mm f/4 IS Pro lens; that single lens is sharper than my old Canon 24-105 f/4 and Canon 70-200 f/4. If I really wanted to, I could bring just the one lens and have basically every focal length covered.

Taylor nice video, I can tell a lot of work went into this and I enjoyed watching it over. Minor point, see at 1:16:23, the scene as the video camera picks it up looks very natural, soft, subtle tones, just like I'd have imagined your eyes seen it vs your HDR feeling edit. I guess the reason I am saying this is because you went on to say that sometimes the picture you edit doesn't convey the feeling at the time, well IMO this is exactly why it hasn't, because it didn't have that soft subtle realism that the video camera captured.
