The time involved is definitely crazy and wasn’t expected when we first started, but seeing and hearing the appreciation is what truly keeps us going. As for Casper...this was not something that we planned. I literally heard a noise that sounded like the car door open and was trying to believe there was some logical explanation. I seriously got the chills when Michelle swore she didn’t leave the door open. It was the noise of the door handle that really did it for me. We were just talking last night that maybe we could see on the dash cam footage but then realized we don’t have it hooked up to 24/7 power yet, so when the car is off, the camera stops. I was joking around with her a bit but OMG were we both freaked out! Surely there is some sort of explanation but we’re not sure what. Thanks so much for the kudos! 😊🤓

The quest for pie! We are camping in Amish country this weekend and bought pie from an Amish family pulling a wooden cart around the campground filled with delicious pies and baked goods. Enjoyed your fun and spooky video this week!

@@LivinRVision We bought a blueberry pie. It was delicious, it had cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top and a heart cut out of the center. The father, who conducted the transaction, was riding a push bike with his young daughter, his son was driving the buggy pulling the cart, and his wife, who made the pies and other treats, was riding inside the buggy, kneading dough for bread.

We have been to court site a couple times, but the only camel we know about is the monument that features a pyramid with a camel on top. It was the last remaining camel from the original camel corps that died in a zoo in 1934.

Spouse retires in about six months and we are planning a cross-country trip from East coast to West coast. I always perk up when you mention a place that has gluten-free options. Eating out is always a roll of the dice for me, but we prefer local establishments rather than chain restaurants if possible. Do you have tips on finding non-chain places that have GF options? If you have any favorite restaurants in your travels, I would love to know that, too. If you don't have time for this....I completely understand! (Ha!) I'll still watch you guys. Spouse and I love watching your channel and your (mostly GF) adventures.

I’m sure you’re counting down now to retirement and your cross-country trip. That sounds exciting! Agree, the GF options are always a roll of the dice. We like Mexican food and usually always get fajitas so you can just ask for corn tortillas with fajitas or tacos about anywhere. Other restaurants that come to mind lately that we really liked was Pizzaria Bocce in Cottonwood, AZ. Very good GF pizza and the chocolate flourless cake was to die for! Crush & Brew in old town Temecula, CA was good and had several GF options. Ferro up in Idyllwild, CA had good GF pizza. And our favorite deli in Palm Springs, CA is Sherman’s Deli. They have GF bread as option with all their sandwiches. They have an awesome Rueben sandwich! Those are just a few. We really just look at restaurant options for the area we are in on Maps on our iPhones and then if we see a restaurant that sounds interesting then go to their website to view menu or call them to ask if have GF options.

We weren’t sure whether or not to show that part but it was so fitting for Halloween that we rescheduled our other two videos that were scheduled and did this one early for Halloween. We did plan to do this day for a Halloween video, but was just going to schedule it normally after our other two that were already scheduled. This made it too fitting, so we changed them around. No, that was not staged one bit. What made my hair stand up is that I turned around because I heard a noise that sounded like the car door opening. You two put out excellent videos. I will say that I have been at locations in excess of 400' below sea level as a US Navy submarine veteran. But when doing that, the sites were not as cool as this. My wife and I are looking forward investigating the western US someday.

Very nice tour of Death Valley. Have watched other videos of about the same locations there, but yours gave me a very good feel for what it really is like. You continue to go places I wish I had gone to when I had a chance. But back in non-cell phone and non-GPS maps days, Death Valley just did not seem like a good choice! Now with Google Maps and youtube videos, planning a trip would be so much easier.

I really enjoy your videos, but I just spent 2 days traveling South on the 95 in Nevada to get back home to Phoenix, 2 days I will never get back! It was hell. I now have a new appreciation for AZ... Did stop at that alien gas station with the brothel to fill up, didn’t go inside, but the outside was disgusting. Tried to walk my dog & it was just gross. Lol Like you, we didn’t know what we were getting into by stopping there UNTIL we stopped there. But the rest of the trip was a far cry from “hell”, so we hate to hear you had such a horrible experience. Have to agree about AZ...we love AZ ourselves! 😁🤓

I loved the Artist Pallette, the variations of colors was neat, especially the top of the one by the gulches with lava on top. Such a neat swirl pattern. The bottle house was cute for that Era. Plaster Paris walls. You don't see plasterers today. They're a thing of the past. I prefer plastered walls over sheet rock. The car door? Wow. Creepy That one white sheet figure with the bike was a little creepy too. Mona was born as Sadie Isabel Peterman. She married a Haskett. Later married a Skinner. The names don't match up. Here it is, it’s because she “went by” Mona Belle in Rhyolite. Here it is living-las-vegas.com/2015/12/the-true-story-of-mona-belle/ Apparently from what we read there’s a lot of misinformation out there. Look on the cross of her said grave. It has her real name and then aka Mona down the middle vertically.

Thank you so much! 😊🤓 As far as the shortest drive would be Valley of Fire, (1 1/2 hrs) next closest that we recommend is Death Valley ( 2hrs 15 min) and then of course Zion National Park (2 1/2 hrs). Red Rock Canyon is only about 30 min away but the others have more of a wow factor. Still beautiful though! The Lindo Michoacán we like is at 2655 E Desert Inn Rd. Las Vegas, NV Have a safe trip and let us know how your trip goes! 😊🤓

She says she is 100% sure and knowing her as I do, she is not one to fib or joke about something like that. We weren’t sure whether or not to show that and were actually planning to do something for Halloween, but when that happened, we rescheduled our other two videos and dropped this in early to make it for Halloween since it was so fitting. I heard the sound of the door open is what made it so creepy for me when I turned around and seen the door open. This seriously was not staged. That’s what made us hesitant to even show this part. Still gives me chills thinking about it. We didn’t end up try the banana pudding. I’m not sure the lights on will help. 😂
