A friend from California talked me into visiting Death Valley, I was prepared to be disappointed but was pleasantly surprised by the beauty. I especially remember a coyote on a cold road who looked very well fed, not your average scroungy city coyote, he was quite stunning.

You were closer to Everest than you realized. The elevation gain from the basecamp of Everest to its summit Is 11433 feet. The elevation gain from Badwater Basin in Death Valley to Telescope Peak, only 15 miles away, is 11,331 feet.

My parents used to spend every available weekends exploring death Valley is surprising, the natural water, springs, and amazing places to explore, including Scotty’s castle. And Panamament City. But a word of caution California has some really stupid laws about filming in a national park and they try and fine you for publicizing it. Something to look into just another law from the Nazi regime of California

You can't use drones in the national parks (in every US state) but you can use your camera and publish the footage as long as it is not for commercial use.
