A couple of my friends were friends with the band members, in particular Chuck. We gave "Evil" Chuck a ride to his gig in 1986 at Ruthies Inn in Berkeley. Death Metal/ Hardcore punk scene in the Bay Area was super strong in the 80s. Great show and super cool guy. Those were the days. RIP!

At the time, most these emerging hardcore punk/thrash and death metal bands were not huge celebrities...lol... they are just a bunch of teenagers/ young adults who liked to play/ go to gigs, thrash and party. This is the simplest Death album ever and it's still not easy to play. Their later stuff can only be played by virtuoso's. This is the album that started it all for death metal. Fucking amazing band and Chuck was a riff machine God-Man.
