Years ago I was reading a news article about a research on brain's response to different genres of music, .It said the participants' brains had the same reaction listening to Vivaldi and Metallica (iirc, Winter and Enter ther Sandman). I always said that the closest genre in modern music to classical, is metal. Utilizing different instruments, composing different sections, highs and lows, there are alot of similiarties between the two genres.

@rezashojaei9170 man I really hate those articles because Enter Sandman is a trillion miles away from classical I guess neo-classical shredding and tech death like First Fragment are kinda cheating though LOL but would make a much closer comparison Too many metal fans think they're smarter because they heard an e minor triad and associated that rather ignorantly with classical

@@R1S3_0F_D3ATH look at the title of the video dude... This is Deathcore. I listen to Deathcore. I listen to Fleshgod Apocalypse as well. They are Symphonic Death Metal. The strings in their songs are composed FOR their songs. This song is a modern interpolation of Antonio Vivaldi's 1st Movement of "Winter" from "The Four Seasons", which makes it Neo-Classical. With Deathcore elements, that makes it Neo-Classical Deathcore.

The sad thing is this specific kind of implementation of symphonic bits with the instrumentals is what Shadow of Intent nailed, not Lorna. I like the guys in lorna and wish them the best, but as respectfully as possible - Lorna's symphonic usage is so far removed from bands like fleshgod, shadow of intent, DT etc that it may as well just be a different genre. They don't weave the symphonic bits with the instrumentals, they just add a background string layer that sounds epic and is way too loud in the mix, overpowering the guitar. It's honestly really sad that the band people think of is lorna and not shadow, cause chris wiseman is so much better when writing at incorporating the symphonic elements, not just using them for dramatic background effect.

I love the fact that everybody talks about lorna shore with this kind of music, meanwhile its way more shadow of intent (who did this btw earlier then lorna). But if you just staying with the statement outLornaShore then thats exactly what Lorna Shore themselfs are doing since Immortal from idk like 2019

You could put lorna shore mental cruelty and imminence all in this band that’s how insanely awesome and epic and talented. They are a brutally sick. Nik and their new EP is my EP of the year. There is nothing that probably even gonna come close to that for me.

What is completely Ironic is that I was just listing to Vivaldi just before this channel popped up. Might be because I listen to Hardcore Genres and I love some Classical Vivaldi is very emotional . THE 4 SEASON'S OP/2 .8/2 R.V. 315, SUMMER

Disembodied Tyrant is not just a vocalist. The pretty young guy is also a really good guitarist. The drums are progged, but the riffs are insane. He is just 17 years old, but an insanely good musician!

I dont think theyre trying to "out Lorna Shore, Lorna shore" I think instead theyre taking what Lorna shore did and put their own twist onto it by emphasing thr sympthonic/classical elements far more than Lorna did. They are clearly VERY inspired by them though

First song: I don't know what just happened to my ears, but I liked it. Second song: I guess you could say it's a cover, yes. It's Mozart. And the choir sounds like Beethoven (don't think it is). And the church organ is totally channelling Bach. . Bro, metal wouldn't exist without classical.

@griffinlester9098 4 ай бұрын
Nah he was correct, it’s a cover (with heaps of artistic license) of Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. One of the most iconic Baroque pieces… I cracked up when the chorus hit bc it’s just so ridiculous but also fire if you grew up with the original. You’re right, Baroque especially is pretty metal. Some of the Romantic era cats even, who clearly had an large influence on jazz as well

with regards to lorna shore, I don't even think they are in the same ballpark on basically every single metric, saying they are trying to out lorna is def not justified imo. they have every aspect turned up to 10 compared to lorna, musicianship, vocals, cinematics, song format, breakdown impact, explosion sounds... lorna is great but it's just a different thing.

Calling the first track "just stupid" and saying they are just trying to out lorna shore, lorna shore, kind of frustrates me. I think you missed the mark on this one, they are insanely talented, but hey, everyone has their tastes so maybe you just aren't into their sound. However I see alot of people saying this same thing, give this band the respect they deserve, these tracks go insanely hard and are very well crafted. Cheers
