I went to jail for missing a traffic ticket and was housed in the same dorm as three murderers. One had already done 25 years for a double murder but was shipped back to county for assaulting a co. Another was doing time while awaiting his trial. He beat a dude to death with a tire iron, and another dude was awaiting trial for deliberately running a guy over after an argument in a bar. I was in the felony pod because I'm a felon I guess even though my charge that got me in county was just a bench warrant for missing a traffic court date, but my original felony charge was drug possession.

When I was locked up over here in Australia the jail I was at would only let you have a TV cord that had be cut down and had the tv socket re fitted, the tv cord couldn’t be over 30cm long so that way it couldn’t be used for strangulation or self harm. Interesting little fact thought ya’ll might like to hear lol

I see this comment on every video and try to be fully sympathetic, but (even as a very-guilty felon who paid his penance to the courts years ago) I can't help but think that the person writing it has no idea how many innocent people are locked up every year. This isn't just entertainment for law abiding civilians, everyone should know what to expect and how to survive if they ever find themselves staring at that filthy-ass concrete in a county jail intake shower and wondering how quickly their foot would fall off if their toe touches that little turd stuck next to the drain with that random long black hair sticking out of it, and... damn is that a pube? Longest fucking pube I've ever seen, shit, hope that ain't my celly...

@@dannyh5937 There's good cops out there too thankfully. When I was younger I got arrested & charged with trafficking dope, I was a user not a dealer. Anyways the prosecutor was basically aiming for either a 5 year plea or if it goes to trial 10 years. Thank god it never went to trial, the whole case was weird and even the arresting officers (there were 3 officers on scene; the arresting officers and the sgt who showed up after and decided the charge) told the prosecution that I was never a drug dealer. I was acquitted unconditionally during a hearing. I saw one the officer a few years later, he seemed to be genuinely happy that I got my life back on track. Doesn't change the fact that there are shitty cops, like the supervisor that decided I should be charged. Anyways all that to say most cops do the job because they want to serve their community and help, we just hear about the horrible ones way more often.

It's a private business. They have and never had any interest in doing their job "correctly" alot of these individuals just didn't wanna do anything else in life so they picked the prison system as their way to make a living. This isn't my opinion, you can find information on what I'm saying. I know people who have been locked up in county and the Feds. It's a private business like I said. Your well being is the least of their concern. They love returning customers as any business would. I bailed out the only time I was arrested so I didn't even have to step into population. I was in a holding cell for 6 hours, it felt like a day. Before those 6 hours I was in the waiting room to do paperwork with a bunch of weirdos screaming and complaining. Then they threw us into this big room where 2 men were on the floor with blood stain on their pants where their asshole is. They were both in fetal position without moving. In this same room there were cells where a bunch of cornballs kept kicking and screaming their door saying they were gonna kill somebody. Idk about you but I damn sure don't care to return to that beautiful hotel. I especialized in logistics and I'm wealthy now. I left the dope game behind and I have no interest in being a criminal. I enjoy fucking a bunch of girls and eating a hot meal, producing for society while enjoying my progress. Jail and prison aren't there to help anybody, stay out.

I remember when hurricane Michael hit us, they moved the work camp to our main unit. The roof in their dorm caved in and the officers really tried to put guys about to go home with lifers. Unfortunately they got moved into our dorm. The dude they put in with us told us the officers tried to force them to go in a cell with 2 guys doing life or a long bid and most guys refused. So they moved them with us, a mattress for them to sleep in a flooded floor

Hey Josh!! Great video. You are so right about people not helping another person in jail or prison. Women's prison's are much tamer, but, it is still the same code. I did 5 years, and I know if someone was getting got, no one intervened. If there was ANY chance I would be charged if I was in a cell with 2 people, and one person killed the other, I would sing like a fucking canary!! There no way in Hell I'm doing time for another person!!
