Seems like it! DDS loves using video game samples, so they probably used this one here too.

@@br0sine Some day, I hope DDS riffs on the post-rock jazz-metal vibe of ACFA, Mutyumu's Ilya album and SWANN's cover of Black Hole Sun, Cloud Age Symphony, Perigeo's La Valle Dei Templi, "Bright Eyes" by Simon and Garfunkel, and "The Light before we Land" by The Delgados. There's *something* there that's airy and spacy, and its so hard to describe and its so close but so far from DDS' whole vibe -- touching almost the Watership Down transhumanism of Gundam: ADVANCE OF ZETA 3 where they finally colonize Mars and make a place all the space autists can coexist. I know this sentence sounds crazy but it 100% would be something I'd love to see DDS tackle some time in my lifetime.

is this not a plunderphonics project anymore? negl I was expecting _dds.wmv,_ not... "The Knife, HEALTH, and Royksopp chucked in a blender". It's not a _bad_ sound; just... _Not what I associate with this project._ Having missed Bright Heart Rotating Into View, I'm _worried._

Oh! Sad to hear that you feel that way about the project ;c Personally I liked the album but the NEED to rework it like they did with Midnight Tangerine. Kingdom of One has A LOT of potential, and the whole theme they have going that ties in with BHRIV and American Candy and all that, they 100% need to revisit this project asap! I would like to hear the tracks more fleshed out, more and clever sample-usage and more individual creativity put into this album. *Sigh* Well that's just my opinion c: (I still need to check out these bands U mentioned 😮)

@@br0sine The Knife, HEALTH, and Royksopp are all big favorites of mine for separate reasons; HEALTH's been getting their flowers lately but _nobody_ talks about the trippiness of The Knife. Royksopp has great mood music too; "Happy Up Here" feels like the audio equivalent of an antidepressant with no awful side-effects

One of the samples is COSMOS from Armored Core: For Answer around 8 minutes in, including various weird covers of the song floating around online through all of Kingdom of One (III), right down to the guitar slide. Trust me, this is a plunderphonics project. The trick is the snippets are getting more granular and finer, and being reworked harder. If anything this is making me want to get into plunderphonics myself. Its very inspirational.
