I grew up with Caro ( from the age of two till high school)... we were not close bcs she allways kept her circle quite small but I admired her always.. she was always a very special girl she was good in everything , art , sports , math , gymnastics , writing ! Always the smartest girl in the class... Caro herinner je me nog?! 🤔

Hey, Mijn zoon zat met haar op school in Nieuwmunster (lagere school). Klopt wat je zegt over Caro, ze was altijd al een speciale meid. Nog maar recentelijk ontdekt dat de zangeres van deze fantastische band, Caro was, hoewel ik hen al ruim 2 jaar zo'n beetje volg, nog nooit de namen van de leden bekeken. Ze zijn gewoonweg subliem!

One of my favourite albums in years , they have become truly exceptional ,saw them on the last tour in Leeds uk and they blow me away and proved to me they are masters of what they do,still very interested to know what happened with the drummer and when the guy from rise and fall joined ,he was incredible live ,sick drummer . Hope they follow up on this album and come back to the uk soon

It's kind of fascinating to see how bleak things felt prior to the recording of Rheia, and now Oathbreaker is really making waves at last. I remember hearing the song "No Rest For The Weary" from Eros|Anteros off Deathwish's 2014 compilation and thought to myself, "this is great but whatever this band does next is going to be fucking legendary." Boom. Rheia is one of 2016's best albums, quite possibly the darkest of them all, and boosted Oathbreaker to the position of one of my favorite recent bands right now. Keep it up!!!

For what I know from his Instagram he left Oathbreaker to let them tour as much as they want, he has a family and kids so I guess he wanted to stay closer to home. He's in a new band I believe from what I have seen in his instagram. But he left in really good terms, they are still as close as always.

Following nerve issues and a tendon inflammation in my right foot, I became physically unreliable when it comes to playing extreme music. I felt that leaving the band was the best way forward for everybody.

Nick Nordstrom True. The amount of slow motion shots of them out in nature staring at nothing doesnt help their case though. And while losing a grandparent definitely sucks, the singer admitted that they werent that close and then stated that the album was about that loss. A band called Architects lost their guitarist/primary songwriter to cancer.. While the bands last two albums were written by him about his situation in a somewhat cryptic fashion, he or the band didnt disclose his cancer until right before he died and nobody knew this until then. Something like that seems alot more meaningful/personal than someone writing about the loss of a grandparent that they admittedly didnt know that well.

I'd say work on your reading comprehension brah lol. Firstly she said the lyrics on this album are based on a lot of shit from the past and that the writing started after a period where she was having a hard time, and PART of that was dealing with the loss of her grandmother. Said her grandmother was very close to her heart but that they didn't see each other often anymore, not that they weren't close at all... Long cancer battles are rough, and there's no standard threshold of suffering (it's all relative.) Anyway, if you read the lyrics to the album I'm sure you'll see that there's a lot more there than just dealing with that loss. There's abuse and all kinds of other subtext...

Anderson Prime Yeah i havent read the lyrics and i didnt know about the abuse and other stuff. Im still not biting on the grandmother stuff though. If a close loved one of mine was nearing the end id be spending as much time with them as possible. I understand that my assumption may be insulting to her and the band, but it doesnt change my opinion.
