Hey everyone Rho here! Today I review the Warhammer 40,000 novel "Deathworlder: An Astra Militarum story" by author Victoria Hayward.
As always with my reviews it is specific spoiler free. However I will discuss themes and narratives of the story.

I watched a video about 40k recently. In it, one of the hosts mentioned how they've read many, many books from the franchise. However, he made it a point to mention the following: "...towards the latter end of the books that are coming out, every non-space marine character is a woman, basically. And everyone that isn't, is incompetent, or stupid, or no known ability whatsoever." I was hoping he was wrong, but I wasn't entierly sure as I'm still only 1/4 through the HH. Then this Wolflord video drops...

It is becoming really common. I'm always shocked when I open a book and the commander or ship master isn't a chick. I'm a woman and it bothers me. At some point it just becomes unrealistic.

Literally just started reading this book over the weekend, 100 pages in and I agree with your assessment of the characters especially Trooper Adair she’s my favorite

I really wish BL would go back to publish Space Marine Battles novels. I slogged thru the bloated End & Death part 46 just to finish the story, but I am really tired of all the angst over the Primaris and Guilliman's return in the current setting. Just give me Astertes coombat!
