Deathworlders Have No Natural Predators Because They Adopted Them All | HFY Story
Experience a hilarious and heartwarming science fiction story about humanity's unique approach to dealing with dangerous creatures across the galaxy. When the Galactic Council discovers that humans have been "collecting" and befriending the universe's most lethal species, they send Ambassador Krix'tal, a jellyfish-like alien, to investigate this peculiar phenomenon.
Follow Krix'tal's increasingly bewildered journey as they discover Earth's extraordinary ability to turn apex predators into beloved companions. From honey badgers serving as emotional support animals to wolverines teaching financial literacy, this story showcases humanity's inexplicable talent for befriending anything that could kill them.
Witness the chaos that unfolds when other alien species attempt to replicate Earth's success, leading to diplomatic incidents involving tap-dancing cassowaries and tardigrade racing championships. Learn how humans transform threatening creatures into productive members of galactic society through the power of hobby development and creative enrichment programs.
This narrative features an ensemble cast of memorable characters, including Dr. Eleanor Murphy, Earth's passionate advocate for interspecies friendship; Mr. Snuggles, a former terror of the mountains turned financial advisor; Professor Tentacles, an octopus with a penchant for unauthorized facility improvements; and a colony of murder hornets with an unexpected talent for landscape design.
The story culminates in the First Galactic Dangerous Species Exhibition, where Earth's most fearsome adopted creatures showcase their newfound talents. Watch as mantis shrimp create twelve-color masterpieces, velociraptors perform ballet, and giant squids conduct underwater orchestras. Discover how humanity's "secret weapon" isn't technology or force, but rather the simple act of asking dangerous creatures about their hobbies.
Perfect for fans of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," Terry Pratchett's humorous science fiction, and anyone who enjoys stories about humanity's peculiar place in the universe. This tale combines witty observation with genuine heart, exploring themes of friendship, understanding, and the unexpected ways we can connect across species barriers.
Join Ambassador Krix'tal as they learn that sometimes the most dangerous thing in the universe isn't teeth, claws, or venom - it's the capacity to make friends in the most unexpected places. Watch how they go from skeptical observer to proud companion of Chairman Wobbles, a choreographically-gifted box jellyfish with a talent for statistical analysis.
This story features:
Sarcastic alien narration
Unusual animal companions
Creative hobby development
Galactic diplomatic incidents
Interspecies friendship
Comedy and heart
Unique perspective on human nature
Unexpected talents of dangerous creatures
Cultural misunderstandings
Heartwarming character development
Content Warning: Contains mild science fiction peril and references to dangerous animals, all handled with humor and care. Suitable for general audiences who enjoy light science fiction comedy.

Ah yes our finest subject, This is Cthulu the elder god currently reading about the Titanic... A... A elder god is reading about the titanic a human watercraft?! WITH CHILDREN!? Yes he loves the kids, book club is more intresting this way and Cthulu will warp to the wreckage with the children for first hand experience. You actively let a elder god warp reality? Yes, he's actually very careful with it because of the kids safety. No you misunderstood he could end the world? *I CAN HEAR YOU ALIEN, I ONCE THOUGHT OF DOING SO HOWEVER THESE HUMANS HAVE SHOWN ME WONDERS AND FRIENDSHIP SO SHALL NURTURE AND DEFEND THEM* notes: don't attack humans because they tamed a elder god, side note do not let any other species elder gods come into contact with humans as they may tane them.

Tame? Me? Psht nah I do my own thing I'm a collector, after all I don't collect the whole of one thing Just a few of each for my collection My favorite earth fauna in my collection is, as colloquially known as purucetus So chonky~♡ It's funny how much they ripple with each impact, very cute The population is steady in my collection But humans? They can barely take a finger in them because of their frame I have to use my auxiliary tendrils if I wanna get something done with them. Sapient life Not always the best tool in the shed for the task Not even on my top 50 on the galactic lifeform harvest collection The Curukuu, on the other hand? Chefs kiss Wonderful beautiful effective and very enjoyable The colors The strong, long, boneless limbs Their 17-meter height Necks horizontal And 39 m raised Necks Their two pseudo heads with such beautiful head ornamentation with long beaks And even looooonger muscular oral tendrils~ And those aren't just for eating, you know? 3 reproductive genders Each heads oral tendrils does a different thing~ Ooooh, it makes my spinaculada majora tremble with "j o y"~♡ And the arts the culture the foods oh woe be still my many hearts! It's too much! Curukuu are on the top 15 on the list of favorites~ Unlike you all They got their stuff together and are neatly organized in the most beautiful ways It looks like a moon sized gallery of arts You humans are messy disorganized It looks like a 30-Km trash heap plot. Edit: oops, misclicked an extra N on 'funny' my bad.

If it wasn't for challenges, we would not bother to advance as far as we have. Yet, if we did not have the comfort of leisure, we could not explore advancements in non-survival situations. Even if the theory of evolution was true, the lack of predatory ability, & offensive & defensive skills ought not to yield such advanced civilizations of intellectually & physically inferior beings. These scenarios are cute expressions of humanity, but they are unrealistic of natural selection. Why bother growing when you don't need to, or when you are too busy surviving?

@@widdershins5383 A lot of the council species communicate through light patterns, pheromone release or antennae positions. So any quantum computer linked communicator should be able to build a syntax and grammar structure for most terrestrial species. Even now here on earth we are building a rudimentary language structure for American prairie dogs.

Don't forget the most sentient life-forms and that is all life forms that understand that they are living which is most like forms I forgot to finish this sentence because voice to text gives me a hard time most of the time and I can't fix anything so this will say I edited I just forgot to finish the sentence at the time most sentient life forms are smarter than the average bear is they used to say and that means that they're not stupid as they may let humans believe they are, and if they pull that stick on humans then of course they're going to pull it on anybody else who's stupid enough not to see in front of them an intelligent life form, people still make calamari and they kill one of the smartest life forms there is in the ocean which happens to be octopi octopi one of the few sentient life forms that not only can open a jar but have been known to use it to hide in among other things they're smart they can open doors they can pick locks and given half the chance well we know what happened to a certain one who kept being a little too good at predicting the outcome of the World cup don't we humans couldn't stand it so they killed him.

Why are the animals in here way more advanced than the ones in RL? 😂 Us "befriending" these creaures made them as advanced as teen humans! We doubked their intelligence! Sadly, in reality, over educating animals in RL results in them becoming depressed & having a life crisis once they realize their place in our world, and how bad we care for this world and 1 another. They say things such as warnings (most literate ape who died), & a dog lamented that they were nothing but a toy to thei owner. They grieved to find out they were a slave for entertainment. They are now on antidepressants.
