More like why you should only ever use nylon or a nylon-composite filament when 3D printing beetles (or ants for that matter). There's actually quite a few successful 3D printed beetles, but they all use something like NylonX or Onyx. But never, NEVER use PLA or ABS on one. Or even polycarbonate for that matter.

@GD Magic Gaming But it can't be 3D printed. Which means you have to use conventional subtractive manufacturing methods. Creating complex parts out of UHMW requires a router or mill.

Do you know what type of plastic Dragonfly used? What material is Debacle made out of?

Dragonfly was 3D printed polycarbonate. Debacle is 7075-T6 aluminum.
