@@codered573 Apparently the wedge bot here is a standard kit bot you can buy online. Sounds like they're pretty effective and very widely used, which I could see being pretty frustrating for builders.

Can I ask, what kind of gearboxes and drive motors do you use? My beetle undercutter keeps breaking its own drive when it slams into a wall, I'm currently using the Chinese 1000RPM 12v motors. Trying to do a bit of a poll to see what more reliable bots use.

I use the BotKits motors here: www.botkits.com/collections/motors/products/22mm-dc-gearmotor-with-aluminum-gearbox I still break them frequently, but I don’t know of anything better available.

It’s not an Xbox controller, it is an FrSky X-Lite transmitter.

Weapon motor is a Turnigy 3730. I haven’t run the KE numbers.

Rob said that when he loaded in the wedge was dragging badly and it didn’t drive straight. He improvised by flipping it over which fixed the problem.

You can buy the riobotz Combat Robot guide. Or if you want a kit I would recommend going to www.fingertechrobotics.com And buying the viper kit and maybe the spinner ad on, they are also very easy to modify.

As long as a small part of the tire is still touching the floor and the drive system is still working, it can still move

Because it’s a D2 kit. Those terrors can take full on hits from heavyweights and keep on moving with minimal damage.

DUCK's wedge is not angled and can lift, robot fighter (the wedge in this video) has an angled wedge but it cant lift other bots
