Thank you for keeping the 'how to' real. Most of the how to at home videos have brushes and salon equipment, which frankly, most people don't have. The instructions dont even tell you to apply then "massage into the hair with your gloved hands". So huge thank you for keeping it real!

Do the root at the last since the scalp heat will make the color catch real fast.. If u apply the color at the ends and keep it for like 30 mins thn apply on ur roots for 15 mins afterwards.. it will be much balanced :)

that's because color doesn't lift color. It was completely pointless to put a light brown on dark brown hair. If she wanted light brown hair she would have had to bleached it or done highlights and then applied the light brown dye. I don't know why no one else in the comments is making note of this.

It's a good video! I color the back of my hair horizontally, because there's a horizontal line when I clip the top part up but doing it vertically the way you do makes sense too. I am going to try that next. I love your hair... how do you keep it moisturised and lustrous?

I have used the Loreal Excellence years ago but I do not remember the results and I saw that Loreal Feria guarantees "power shimmer" so your hair will look shiny and smooth! Which one will leave your hair looking AND feeling healthier?

The casting creme gloss is ammonia free and leaves your hair super soft and glossy, and the excellence creme is not free from ammonia (I'm guessing here, not sure) but the colour pay off is brighter. If someone is colouring their hair for the first time then I would recommend casting creme gloss, they have a nice range for Indian hair colours too.

Misskay LN Hi! I know a bit on this matter so I thought I'll chime in. What Debasree said is absolutely true about one having ammonia while the other is ammonia free. Ammonia is a somewhat harsh chemical, so downside is will dry your hair a little bit, you might not see the damage the first time especially if your hair is healthy but after repeated applications your hair might become grassy. But ammonia also helps the color to show up bettter & stay on longer. Most of us Indians have very dark hair so for color to show we need our hair color to have a bleaching / lightening effect, which Ammonia does. So ammonia has upsides & downsides. Casting Creme Gloss damages the hair much less & leaves it very shiny / silky but it doesn't show up as much & fades away pretty soon, whether you are a younger person or an older one using it for greys. Which one you choose is entirely your prerogative but I like Excellence Creme more just because I want my hair color to be more visible & stay for longer :)

That was the first time I had ever coloured my hair, although my hair felt INSANELY SMOOTH and silky, the colour didn't show up at all. I would just like to ask. Does dying your hair ruin it? I have naturally "good" hair, well they are in good condition and I don't want to harm them but I want to dye, a few streaks basically. +1977deepa you apply tiny amount of the hair color at the back of you neck or hand, leave it for 1 hr, if it doesn't cause redness or any irritation then you're good

skill.is.correct , but color is not there . for the hair dye , 1. use minimum amount spread into ur hair evenly . 2. using hair dryer fast the process . this help ur hair turn dry . 3. rinse it , and using hair dryer dry ur hair. 4. using large amount to dye ur hair . 5. using hair dryer faster the process. 6. rinse it , now your color should be better than just dye in 1 step
