He's a centre. He's not tackling props any time soon. He's also 33 and an Origin veteran, so nobody in the NRL has anything for him to fear. He is looking for confrontation, so giving it to him is playing into his hands, especially if you start running props at the edge and concede the middle.

Kane made the exact same tackle that Will did on him, yet got sent off for it. Chambers throws a boot into the crowd. No action. Verbally attacks players at a personal level, ref tells him to say it quieter. How much evidence for bias against the Warriors do you need. The Nrl is all for player welfare but letting a guy emotionally abuse multiple players on a deeply personal level is shameful. Chechin needs a talking to letting a game get to that point

I have no issue with sledging when it's done right but a few things here. It's alleged Chambers bought family into his sledging which is off limits to me and if you're going to sledge, make sure you are winning/win the game/don't let in the game winning try with a pissweak attempt of a tackle.

Chambers is a joke. He let in a pathetically soft try by Aitken and nearly let in a 2nd try if it weren't for a dubious bunker ruling that Curran "tackled" Chambers in the air. Plus his head slam tackle that sparked Evans to throw some weak asf punches was just as bad as Evans' head slam on Chambers, and yet Chambers didn't get penalised. Warriors are one of the worst and youngest teams in the comp and they still won the game with 12 players on the field for 20 mins up against biased officials. Chambers won the battle but the Warriors won the war. Shame on you Chambers and Sharks for losing an easy game hahahaha

In what industry or field can you sledge the people you work with, or openly belittle their family members. 1 guy upsetting not only his opponents but his own team? 25 against one, Chambers is in the wrong. All players can take sledging, it's been a part of the game ever since I remember, but there has always be some unspoken limits. A punch in the face use to clarify that limit. Now there no guide unless its race, then the whole world turns on you. Apparently it's ok to sledge, taunt and bait with any insult you like except race, that's the only offensive one, going after a players wife, not offensive.

I blame the referee. If Chambers' head slam on Evans in the first place was blown as a penalty, then none of what came after would have happened, including Evans' head slam on Chambers (resultling in a send off).

Sport is about mental strength and ability as much as a physical strength and ability. Elite sport relies even more on the mental side for those small incremental gains on your opponents as the gaps in physical ability are less pronounced than in lower grades. I have no problems in sledging however you want to to put the other team off. It’s up to the clubs to train the resilience and control in to their players. If it’s not in the rules that you can’t do something then clubs and players are smart to look for ground they can exploit for an advantage. You cannot burden the officials with a rule for every possible eventuality. How would you write a rule to limit an endless number of sledging topics that can be effectively enforced. Very difficult topic to monitor successfully as there’s so much grey area, not to mention doing all that whilst the game is moving at 100mph. I don’t have an issue with sledging but sledging is the only part of Will’s game that’s worth anything.. he got run over twice and let in 2 tries, made barely any tackles, bugger all runs. Kenty makes a good point. Do any of us see this sort of sledging to bait a reaction happening when Blocka or Tallis were playing? No because those boys would have either run straight over the top of you or knocked his fkn head off. Chambers only sledges now because he knows if he gets hit the other player leaves the field. I’m actually with Kent that unsportsmanlike behaviour should be either penalty (throwing a shoe) or sin bin (in the case of sledging o’Sullivan’s wife, Lodges’s sister) that’ll shut him up real quick because the sharks would only ever play with 12 men
