Shawn can't blame the system. Liverpool's system has actually arguably been hindering Salah since VVD came in. Before it was counter attacking football in which he thrived but now its just slow build up after slow build. The fact that Salah has still been consistent after the system change and might be in his prime now shows that Salah is world class despite whatever system he plays in

You're right that Salah is world class but I disagree that he's better than Hazard. Hazard's job was never to score goals. Him and his previous managers have all said his job was to create and he was never goal driven. But he was a mesmerising player to watch. He's a complete natural on the ball and could dominate a game on his own. Salah's definitely more consistent and he's a better goalscorer. But Hazard is a better footballer because football is about more than just about goals. For me it's like Ronaldinho and Salah. Salah scores more goals than Ronaldinho ever did and his peak ha actually been longer than Dinho's now but the joy you got from watching Ronaldinho play means it's obvious who the better footballer is. I hate that football's become just about stats now. As long as it results in trophies (which Hazard did) it shouldn't matter if you get there not scoring lots of goals.

One of the key attributes of "world class" is consistency. Mo Salah has been banging in goals since he's come through the door. Just because he had that amazing first season and hasn't lived up to that doesn't mean people should look down on him. If he continues at Liverpool he can match Henrys numbers at Arsenal which are insane. He deserves a new contract at LFC.

Ronaldo literally won his last three Balond'or by being just the bagsman. He rarely tracked back and couldn't beat two defenders if his life depended on it but it doesn't make him any less off a footballer. He was still the best because he was decisive in the most important of games in the champions league. That's what a great footballer is, someone who influences games and produces on consistent basis and Salah does all those things and to say the guy isn't a good passer simply means that you don't watch Lfc games.

The only thing Hazard now has over Salah is longevity in prem. Hazard spend 7 season at Chelsea, if Salah keeps going at the same rate as now by the time he completes his seventh season in Liverpool he would have scored three times the no of goals Hazard scored and have twice the no of assist as well. Even today Salah the difference in the creative stats between the two isn't big with Hazard edging slightly. Football is about working towards putting the ball in the net and Salah is one of the best in the world at it.

In Salah's WORST season at Liverpool he scored 19 goals. In Hazard's BEST season he scored 16. Hazard scored 4 goals in the entire 15/16 season, Salah has bettered that in 7 games this season. If all you rate is step overs and flair, why aren't the F2 the best players in the prem? why aren't they even IN the prem? because end product is much more important than flair.

AboTreeka was a phenomenal player..a national hero for what he have done for the national team and for the Egyptian football as a whole..he is the people's champ . BUT he is not better than Salah.. he may be a better technical player..but NOT a better player. I think maybe come back to this topic and broaden the scope a bit, who is the better player Mohamed Salah or Neymar Junior. in my opinion they play more similar roles at their clubs. It would be interesting to hear he takes. Their respective clubs demanded goals from each and both played on great clubs. And both usually playing in a 4-3-3 during their best years both as the wide winger/forward.
