I went to LSU with Dee 1 and we both volunteered with middle school students. I don't know what some of you are talking about because obviously you all have never met him. Dee 1 is one of the most humble, intelligent, talented, caring and consistent people I've ever met. Dee 1 has always acted like a Christian and treated everyone with the utmost respect. Dee 1 also taught one of my younger cousins and is still a mentor to my cousin, who is very successful in his own right. God bless Dee 1.

So everyone should have a gold ring on every finger and an outrageous medallion around their neck like Deion And Dee-1. That's what the bible says right? Both D's are materialistic first and phony christians that try to defend they're actions behind that.
@kamala80

@asrielandfriends Your judgment isn't righteous. It's mean spirited and Satanic. Dee 1 isn't perfect and he'd tell you that but a medallion and some rings don't change the fact he lives a Christian life and cares about positively impacting others.

You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. Should be obvious to anyone with discernment that the majority of Whitlock supporters are modern Pharisees. People with so much to say but so little action in their real lives to uplift society and so many skeletons in their closet. Hypercriticism for other believes like Dee-1 but don’t even have their own lives in order physically, financially and definitely not spiritually

Couldn't agree with you more. But how do we get there? If everyone is so readily in AGREEMENT with this approach then why does humanity suffer mightily in getting to that particular place? Perhaps that is the truest question of our day? Could it be the attachment of free will, coupled with the emotions of vanity and hubris doesn't allow for an easy transition to neutral? Especially, when we are revving our flight or fight engines on maximum energy levels. It becomes an intensity driven mandate how we will respond in any given moment. And sadly, that initial response is an heightened verbal lashing towards the other individual(s). Then that person or group gets immediately offended and here we go...🤯🤥😡🤬. The abusive language and yelling and screaming and cussing is in full swing now. Just based off that initial response way back in the beginning of it all. It truly is a bit frustrating and also frightening that nowadays the rarity is in finding that meek, humbled, and even keeled individual. The person of quite assurance knowing that they have a functioning governor on their emotional engine.

We need to get to the point where the people with biggest platforms and loudest voices lead by example through humility and respect … that’s where the biggest problem is the people our society make out to be role models is all about physical and financial status and or gain, we really need to hit the refresh button and take it back to the fundamentals of being a good wholesome human being cause that’s how we do our part in making the world a better place. It has never been about the bank account, or any other financial gains, but unfortunately that’s what our society is indoctrinated to believe is most important.

I would like to see a Red Table type talk about this topic. If Jason's take is, Deion needs to be humbled and not to self glorified then is a fable coming out of his mouth. Why? Because he is using this man's (Coach Prime) journey as a means to be scaffolding for his podcast. How many segments of what Jason is doing with Wave TV are involving Deion 'Coach Prime' Sanders? Ask yourself what and why that is? Of course, you {he} would want access to either Shannon Sharpe or Deion Sanders. Make zero mistakes about this, obiviously, he wants in. Jason Whitlock has an agenda for inclusion. As much as he rants against this notion, that is where the true bottom line is. Question: Is Shannon's offspring birthed from African American women? If so, then immediately stop with that false "Becky" narrative. That is definitely not Christ like in any way. It is more akin to the deep-seated Uncle Tom or stereotypical racial baiting methodologies. And please, could anyone tell me if such an attitude is Christ like?

To be led, stirred in any given direction? Is he not entitled to the free expression of his personal opinions? Yet does the fenced in dogma of controlled opposition come with the shackles of censorship in all forms? That an obedience to the party rule is paramount, above anything else? Just for the record what exactly is controlled opposition? Seems to be a tad bit controversial cult like in nature? 😞👤🤔

Deion question was do you believe now! I am at least ten years older than you two and there isn’t a need to cover up what you were, yet how do you help the next generation. You need to take a look at the families that embrace him. Jackson State provided for Deion what HBCU was established to do, give Blacks a boost! I lived in Cedar Hill, when Deion was given those opportunities. I have watched him raise young men and a family and that requires humility!

All that doesn’t matter to those that have a following that pays for him to speak negatively. His views on Deion Sanders don’t match the work Coach Prime has done for many years, families, and individuals. Whitlock questioned Coach Prime’s personal relationship with God while also judging his assignment by God. Coach Prime said this, if you have 9 people that love’s you why focus on the 1 that doesn’t. Again, Whitlock doesn’t know Prime as anything other than a storyline, because guess what? Prime is popping now and everyone is talking good or bad.

Thank you for sharing your comment. Not only was it an accurate and positive response, but it was a very true reflection of the facts. We haven't publicly heard of one [legal] incident where Deion's children were involved. 🤔 They're self-motivated and, to a high degree, self-contained. What we're fortunate enough to witness from Well Off Media and the other two outlets highlight this aspect of the family dynamic. Bucky states and shows that this something that they have always done. Well Off goes as far back as 2015, if not further. So it has to be said that he's not new to this but true to this. Maybe that's in a nutshell the philosophy that Deion Sanders has carried with him his entire life and surely during his professional NFL 🏈 career.

@SweetB54 Thank you for your candor and also your accuracy of the facts on the ground. This is why I feel like many folks in our communities, as well as folks who don't necessarily reside in our neighborhoods, are having tremendous issues with Jason Whitlock and the Fearless podcast. His seemingly endless rants against the person Coach Prime is and his stewardship of the University of Colorado Buffaloes 🦬 Football 🏈 Program does not align with any sort of consistency as to what is actually going on in the building. So, the clear pushback to Mr. Whitlock becomes a clear condemnation for why(¿) are you doing this? What 🤔 made you decide to take on this vile dislike of Deion Sanders and make him your personal 🎯 target? We are left wondering Jason Whitlock if you are indeed the Puppet Master or merely the puppet 🎭 in all of this. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Either way, I feel like the real concern here has to be in knowing precisely who / what is controlling your strings?🤔

I’ll say this. God only created 3 perfect individuals. 2 failed in their perfection. 1 died for our imperfections. Yet, God didn’t hesitate to used imperfect peoples to spread the news of Jesus BEFORE he was born. God still using imperfect people today to spread the gospel. If perfection is needed to be the requirement to mention God and Christ, then no one can speak or talk about the gospel, which a larger amount of people going to hell. Being a Christian doesn’t means or make you perfect. It’s mean you realize you need help from God and Christ to cover and help you while you’re working on your imperfection. What’s the difference between a well groomed suit wearing person sharing the gospel of Christ and a homeless person sharing the gospel of Christ, while struggling? In God’s eyes he love both the same for sharing the seed of the gospel of Christ. No one is without flaws and vices to overcome including those in the Old Testament and New Testament. Abraham lied about his wife being his sister. Yet, God still chose to work with him to become the father of many nations. Should God abandoned Abraham for the lies and not allow Jesus to be born many generations afterward? Instead of accusing someone about their walk which you don’t know everything they do in private. Pray for that person. Yes call out the sins. But, understand they are just as much a work in progress as you are. Otherwise, you’re in a state of pride in which you think you’re better than some people while overestimating your own walk. Self righteous can turn the sick off from you. Possibly, be the reason why some will never accept Christ by your actions. I highly doubt everyone gets and does everything right at all times. It’s between the person and God when they messed up. Now, Deion has a job to keep. Would God want Deion who has the eyes of millions want him to keep his job to spread the seed of Jesus or lose it and hope he doesn’t mention Jesus? Yeah it’s sus to have celebrities to appeal to the guys. Like Dee-1 said, if Jesus hanged out with the “sick”, then why shouldn’t I do the same. How else will many people hear about Jesus if a lot of people don’t go to church in person or online? Some come from family that never believed in any God. You honestly think God care about Deion’s chains, while some shallow person who are enamored with flashy people chooses to follow and listen to Deion? Yeah again Deion isn’t perfect in his walk. But, the same people may have giving their life to Christ because of the flashiness. I personally know of someone that has a friend that let them borrow a Ferrari. A lot of people gather around the car to talk to that person, while they were running errands. That person used that opportunity to share Jesus with everyone in an unplanned organic way. Should God reject everyone that accepts Jesus because they were hooked on the car at first? God will used all people in every profession to spread the seed of the gospel of Christ. None of us knows how many people gave their life to Christ after talking to Deion. You’re judging the messenger verses judging if the messenger is spreading God’s message. I can see if Deion is out here preaching sins are ok. Like the well groomed vs homeless example, God appreciate all three of you. This life is really a game of thrones. Either you’re a piece of Satan throne being sat on and tormented or you sitting on a throne next to Christ and God. It’s about how many souls get saved through the message of Christ. Not about petty preferences of a messenger. It’s foolish to try to fix yourself before accepting Christ. It’s more foolish to think God only use prefect people to save the “sick.” Great interview.

Many people in these threads, I think, if someone continues to call them out and sully their name, would prefer the opportunity at some point to defend it. It's so easy to sit in one’s echo chamber and talk a lot or noise and the other person chooses not to engage with them. This is beyond ridiculous to me. Jason Whitlock using clickbait headline/soundbite proving once and for all how insincere he truly is. Obviously trying to marginalize someone who is by far one of the most positive influences in the culture when it comes to pushing back against the toxic themes in rap music in Dee-1. Instead of highlighting that, he prioritizes his obsession with Deion Sanders and anyone who doesn’t share the same views about Deion is completely defined by that viewpoint. Never mind all the service Dee 1 does in community or the bigger picture fight is going against those themes in entertainment. That’s all grandstanding from Whitlock

@@michaelbenjamin504 , as Jesus told his disciples, and it should apply to us, “Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves." Matt. 10:16 Yes, we believe in God with Faith as a child. That means trusting Him in every aspect of our lives and in every circumstance. That is different than being naive about how this corrupt world operates. Otherwise, what good would it be to "be in the world, but not of it" Many people professing to be Christians are sadly not living as Christ commanded us to live, and I will include me in that group. But there has to be some sort of evidence that we no longer strive to be of this world. Instead, we get TV pastors with multi-Million dollar homes and private jets, celebrities that will half-heartedly name the name of Jesus, then boast about how much they have accomplished. It is nothing like what the Apostles did. they gave up everything for Christ. Everything. Could we do that today??

The irony when most of Jason’s audience is naive which is why they fall for this bad faith click bait headline and soundbite that Jason chose to use to introduce ppl to Dee-1. Instead of showcasing how Dee-1 is one of the most forces for good taking on all the high profile toxic rappers in the music industry he takes a soundbite in Jason’s own obsession with Deion Sanders to try to portray Dee-1 as some irrational Deion Stan. Deliberately cuts out the part where Dee-1 says it’s room for growth or context of bigger picture of the themes being promoted and how there are ppl who can have many things to say about many ppl of faith who are high profile.

Jasons points lose validity with lies or disregard of the other side. Shannon Sharpe has BLACK kids, their mom is Betty. Prime brings Rappers, Financial Advisers & Pastors to speak to the kids. not just Rappers, who are the kids Heros by the way. Also the bible says God Loves Affirmations when you praise him. like prime does, "I am HIM, I dont need no motivation, Jesus Motivates me" He also PUBLICLY states that Prime is a brand, but there is Deione who is more laid back, to himself, quiet.

So, are we disqualifying Jason for gluttony? 🤔 I think not. It can easily be said that he's not evolving nor glorifying God through his body. Flaws do not disqualify. Jason has a poverty mentality as it equates to Christianity. He's judging Dion but they don't have the same walk OR money. What I hear is masked rejection. His inner child feels rejected. Once he's healed, he will clearly understand that no two walks are the same. It's sad that he can't see that Dion is effective to those he's called to; just like him.

Radical materialism is a venture to positivity. You are viewing the outside trappings and bypassing the heartfelt message. A long history of evaluating this man's career should have led to you seeing the true ebb and flow of life. What can be more Christian than going through the trials and tribulations and still holding on tightly to the faith and belief you have in the greatest of moments. You speak to the fact that Coach Prime has zero humility. But Jason, for the record, I ask you to define precisely what your definition of humility is? Secondly, just how does the action of humility manifest itself in your own life? Also, has that action changed and elevated over time as you, yourself, have grown in your understanding of faith and obedience? It is easy to make these attention-grabbing "statements" again, but truly a disservice to the mass public without a careful explanation of where and how that personal perspective originates.

"Radical materialism is a venture to positivity." That sentence is insane on its face. Materialism leads to jealousy which leads to all sorts of bad news. If you want to see how that pans out, watch The Sopranos.
@kelvinwallace5565
@kelvinwallace5565 8 ай бұрын
@benwatts3793 but the jealousy stems from where. The criminal mindset of the Mafia vultures is a poor illustration. Why? Because it is vulture nature by and large. Where opportunist consumption of everything & everyone is at play. For the underprivileged youth who find themselves in a less than ideal situation, yet they have ambitious intentions to strive for excellence and achieve a level of success that has up until now eluded the family structure. Are you to say to that very young person that Coach Deion Sanders isn't the individual who is deserving of their time or attention? His brashness and being unapologetically himself make other individuals uncomfortable, and that alone is enough reason to tune him out. To discount and disregard any of the life gems he's putting forth. Radical materialism is an interpretation mired first in ones' own socioeconomic condition. So naturally, the viewpoint shifts and morphs according to the circumstances and facts on the ground.

I like Jason - but all the criticism with Deion - I believe he needs to bring Deion and have a conversation and confront - it looks bad as a Christian to talk and criticize about another brother in Christ who has not done anything to you personally- Deion has impacted many many kids including me - it was his work ethic charisma and love for the game that influenced me to have to same with what I do. He nor Jason is perfect but never assume and criticize someone who you personally don’t know if u never had a RELATIONSHIP with him-- only with that you can have a honest straight forth opinion or observation about a person. For the record I admire Jason Whitlock but I don’t agree with the why his position and Deion doesn’t talk nor snapped back at the all criticism made about him and to me it makes Jason look bad from a true Christian perspective- U don’t always have to call out ppl. However, I noticed that he spent about two weeks talking negatively about him daily! He enjoyed when others agreed with him even those who were not believers. Then it just looked like a gossiping show. Meanwhile, I’ve yet to hear Deion say anything negative about Jason. I just don’t see how talking about this man so often is edifying or glorifies the Kingdom of God.

Jason Whitlock hates Deion Sanders, that's just the end of the story. Deion Sanders doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't curse, helped to raise and mentor Noel Devine, Deion Sanders raised his children, who doesn't drink, who doesn't do drugs, who are college graduates, and are in college. As a coach Deion Sanders is busting his butt along with his coaching staff to keep tabs on his players to stay out of trouble and to stay on top of their grades. Jason Whitlock sees known of that because all Jason Whitlock sees is his own dislike of Deion Sanders, then he hides behind God to masquerade his dislike of Deion Sanders. Jason Whitlock speaks of Deion Sanders lack of humility, yet Jason Whitlock shows his own arrogance because he only sees what he wants to see. Whitlock is being a hypocrite

You have nailed it Jason!!! I have been saying this for YEARS!!! I still remember back in the day when he was wearing those Coogi sweaters which were high-dollar at the time. When Deion allegedly came to Christ, he subscribed to the "prosperity gospel." When I first came to Christ, I was invited to a Charismatic/Pentacostal church. Over time I came to know this "prosperity gospel" and I termed it "justifiable materialism" and "justifiable covetousness." Dee-1 has no case whatsoever here. He overlooks the lack of humility and extreme materialism that Deion has long exhibited, and tries to spin everything as "positivity." Jesus' first message was to repent, yet when we call out sin today, people hide behind the term "legalism."
