His forward pressure was perfect for the level they're fighting at. The problem was that there were far too little behind the pressure. Woodley kind of just walked Paul down for eight rounds. Woodley is a counterer. It isn't in him to shoot first.

Jake's the bigger guy. Maybe not taller, but definitely bigger. Tommy fights at 175 lbs and Jake fights at 190 lbs. And they probably both walk around 10-20 lbs heavier than their fighting weight. Tommy also looks just half an inch to an inch taller than Jake.

Anyone who genuinely believes Jake will beat Tommy surprises me. Tommy is a boxer, nobody said he's Tyson but he is a boxer. That fight wasn't pretty but Tommy was boxing there. I agree his movement at times needed some work and his measuring distance but he certainly wasn't outboxed and that fight definitely wasn't close. I didn't expect anyone to get knocked in 4 rounds. Just because he’s Tysons relative you think he should be world class right now. He’s learning his trade. It was a 4 round fight with a guy much smaller leaning in and making it awkward for Tommy to put him away. Tommy Fury in a 12 round fight finishes Jake Paul inside 6-8 rounds. Who was Canelo, Mayweather, Tyson, Joshua etc fighting in his first 5,6,7 pro fights? Nobodies, that’s who. Give Tommy till he’s 25-27 before truly saying how good he is.

I don’t think he looks anything special, however I think a lot of people forget how bad Tyson looked in a lot of his fights coming up, he looked terrible in some, even in some of his comeback fights (Walin in particular) however Tyson is a fighter that fights to the level of his opposition, nearly like he can’t get motivated for anyone else, hopefully this is the same with Tommy, and he is still 22! Although agreed he doesn’t look great so far.

Tyson didn't exactly impress against Wallin, but he wasn't as bad in that fight as people make out sometimes. I mean, he did definitely win the fight (although not impressively) without being able to see well for the majority of the fight. Obstructed vision gave Wallin a big advantage and he still was had a hard time holding on to make it the distance.

I think the problem was he was too eager. He looked tense with everything. Should’ve relaxed a bit more, tried to stay composed and take his time to pick his shots behind the jab. The size difference probably made it a bit awkward, sure, but behind a good jab he really should’ve knocked him out.

From my time in boxing I would much rather box someone that has a single powerful shot as opposed to someone that’ll throw punches in bunches, it’s much more difficult to deal with. Bare in mind Tommy is naturally around the same weight as well, which would be the first time jakes actually fought someone about his size.
