Hey Andy, I've been listening to your podcast for about 4 years now. I was going through a tough time when I started listening. Hearing someone think through problems and life's obstacles the way you do helped me learn to approach my own problems in life differently, and doing that has caused a BIG positive change in my life. The single most applicable piece of advice (though there has been LOTS of great advice) was when you've said, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." Literally life-changing advice, and I say that to my students often. I teach high school and middle school in Texas. Keep doing what you're doing, man! You kick ass!

I'm a simple guy that doesn't always agree with you BUT respect your perspective because it's different and you have experienced things I haven't. You are interesting and know how to ask interesting questions. So, with that said. I love this country but not the way we conduct the way we get our candidates. So keep going I love your analysis of the debate. I will not stop watching if you don't like "my" candidate. Hope you have a great day Andy!

When I was a kid and my wrestling team would lose our coach would say they were just better than us today. They practiced harder, made fewer mistakes, and played better. We lost fair and square. We need to work harder and come back stronger. It seems nobody ever loses anymore. It's always due to the referees making bad calls the other team cheating or the process being rigged. We even go as far as to say nobody won. In competition, there is always a loser and a winner and it's always on you. You have to accept defeat, apply lessons learned, work harder, and come back stronger.

Andy, I am a long time listener of your podcast. This Friday podcast was fantastic and I loved your suggested improved debate plan. I feel the same way that you described when you talked about not having any better understanding of the candidates to a point that the debate was about who I do not like more than how the candidate represents me and my love ones needs. Great job, I always enjoy listening to you.

You come across as not being over politically. The candidates have a pretty good idea of what kind of questions they are going to get. As far as the fact that they fact checked Trump twice, I don’t think they really had a choice, no where in the US are you allowed to murder babies after they are born and everybody in a position of authority say that Haitian immigrants are not eating peoples pets and now look at what is happening because of that statement, it has put people’s lives in danger.
@bcc4908Ай бұрын
"abortion" is legal at ANY stage in multiple states, use whatever words you want... murder, execute, abort, etc... it's just semantics... fact is a healthy baby can be born alive and left to die in those states. As far as haitian issue, go look at the video evidence chris rufo compiled. You should stop believing what mainstream news tells you, they have zero credibility.

Andy I’m 61 years old and have watched many Presidential debates, when I was young it was required and was followed the next night at dinner by a discussion of said debate. It was a beating, but served to get us kids to understand the importance of knowing someone’s stance on issues and how they carried themselves. This debate was exactly as you described, a shit show, as most have been over the last quarter of a century. Trump’s problem, in my opinion which means nothing, is he has no humility and cannot control his narcissism and ego. He’s not able to let personal attacks go and focus on issues, Democrats know this and use it effectively, Harris, the border czar, doesn’t have to defend her record, or lack thereof, because he wants to get a jab in himself. That these are our candidates just shows good people don’t go into politics, only those seeking power and money. I don’t believe “independent” moderators are viable because who decides who’s independent. We are in a country that is so divided politically that people can’t see the forest for the trees. I would love to see you moderate a debate, it would be entertaining and possibly educational, which this was neither. Have a great weekend and God Bless!

Trump is by far his own worst enemy. The Democrat media, and that whole party is atrocious, but Trump is Trump's worst enemy. Not even close. He's angry, petulant, narcissistic, egomaniacal and secretly, very insecure. The loudest, most alpha chimpanzee is not the best leader. I've consistently heard over the years, that the best leaders are humble and grounded. And I've observed that myself. I sure wish the Republican Party, had nominated someone better, but now it's too late.

I understand the point and can think of a few content creators that could maybe do this well but the idea of using alternative media, basically, after the tenet stuff came out especially is pretty funny lmao In fact, in some ways they're more susceptible to audience capture and less legally restricted from spreading lies and such, that's to say, being biased But honestly, this issue is equal parts the average persons fault as much as it is politicians They don't bother telling facts or explaining their plans because we don't want to hear it We've gotten apathetic Just look at voter turnouts We want sound bites, attacks, we want rhetoric We want to be told they'll fix all our problems even if they have a miniscule impact in their position Outside of that for most people it seems as simple as a few questions (abortion for exapmple), the vibe a candidate gives off, whether or not you trust the establishment to some degree or another and what you consider true (i.e. who you trust and how much) Personally I think Jan 6 on top of several other things should be more than enough to never have Trump in the running but I understand people contest that and fair enough, disagree Also, as far as experts and all, if they're not bought by a given side, there's still a very good chance they won't be trusted anyways, simply if their position doesn't align with [your] worldview That's where we've gotten, people live in their own echo chambers and truth is subjective

But then Hulk Hogan goes on TV to rip off his shirt and say maga then everybody fawns over him and says whoa he's so brave... When i question that, now I'm a Kamala voter and nobody wants to have a real discussion: either all celebrities are detached from reality or none of them are. We can't cherry pick just because they said the thing.

Poiliticians, and many subject advocates, don't seem to catch on to the fact that laws only apply after the incident has already happened, prevention is only by deterrence, most people aren't necessarily aware of a given law, deterrence really only exists, if people understand and respect the law. Maybe it ought to be a basic education class in schools.

I think the person asking about changing gun laws to stem the flow of guns into Canada was actually asking if increasing laws on gun control in particular U.S. states would help stop illegal guns from getting into Canada. It wouldn’t. NYS has ridiculously strict gun laws, and yet still a ton of guns are smuggled from Buffalo, N.Y. Into Ontario Canada. More legislation against crimes won’t help that particular problem. Arresting and prosecuting criminal organizations could help though maybe.

Until we get off this hatred train of the other side being wrong no matter what. Debates are useless. Show me a single person who starts watching those debates undecided and ends them with "I will now vote for that person" or someone who goes into the debate thinking "I will vote blue" and ends the debate saying "guess I was wrong before, I am voting red now". Hell, the last one showed Biden was gone and people still would have voted for him had he not dropped out. It is all the same as a football game. Most of the people who watch already have their team and the game is always rigged against their team if they are losing.
@robertchapman68222 ай бұрын
Humanity won the debate because US voters were able to see Trump trying to interact with people in stressful situations and he doesn’t do well. Trump had the opportunity to do to Harris what she did to him, but he is a loser who should have walked away while he was ahead instead of thinking writing “mean tweets” was a policy

You can Google and find all of these. In Colorado, for example, you can get an abortion up to 9 months. Trump did a horrible job of explaining this. Harris not only said but put it in writing and CNN reported on the fact that she said she wanted transgender surgeries for detained migrants. Trump never said the very fine people thing, again it’s on video. Harris is also in video talking about seizing guns as well as stopping fracking.
