It's still greed. Rham left for his $600M...and I don't blame him. I doubt Rham will ever be the player he was destined to be after this. That kind of money in your pocket will not let you get up at 4am to practice putting, as punishment for finishing second last week etc....Rham is richer now than anyone with ten Majors would have been before LIV. That's just crazy. But the PGA is doing the same now. We are in for a decade it seems, of complete mediocrity for this sport at this elite level. I argue, that the Korn Ferry tour etc...offer way more excitement, and their stories are so heart-pulling etc... I don't care to watch all these rich guys be ok with 3rd place, as they collect $1M for that 'effort'. 2c.

PGA Tour only cares about men's pro golf in the US and doesn't want any competition. If the PGA Tour cared about the fans they would let the best LIV players play in the "FIFTH MAJOR" and other elevated events. LIV and PGA are two different business models for delivering pro golf to the fans. I enjoy watching a LIV Tour event better than a PGA Tour event shown by CBS or NBC. Not enough golf shots and too many commercials vs a LIV event with no commercials over 4.5 hours and a lot more golf shots. This year you can now watch every shot for all the threesomes on the 18 holes. I watched the main LIV broadcast using the Livgolf+ app on my tv and watched the AK and Mickelson group on my laptop for 18 holes. The CBS and NBC broadcasts do not offer this type of viewing to the fans. You can also go back and watch any LIV tournament on the Livgolf+ app at your leisure. Currently all the LIV friday rounds are shown on youtube and can be rewatched.

Since Europe is united in one team, how many times in relation to Europe the US team won the ryder cup? Since more European players came to the masters, how many of them won this tournament till Tiger dominated? They're Europeans are way more more than dominant than than you mean they are. I watched LIV Hong Kong - what a great dramatic tournament on a Fanta course. That's absolute high quality golf! The best players are on LIV!

And if you mean that the most competitive players are on the PGA tour, Rahm's results on LIV are the best proof for the opposite. He won last year 4 events on the PGA tour and the masters, on LIV till now not one event. And if you mean the majors show the quality of PGA you fail again : last year the LIV players finished overall way more successful than the PGA players, nearly every made the cut and a lot of them finished top ranked, so Patrick Reed or Bryson for example. And koepka won a major... Players like Osthuizen, who won in the preseason two tournaments, are still on top, he was only 3 years ago finished in EVERY major on the podium. This year is a major at Pinehurst number 2- ten years ago Kaymer demolished the field with a 8 shot win over Fowler and the rest there. You mean the young talented players are on PGA tour - this are the young players from Europe who won the ryder cup, players like Aberg and Hojgaard, for all Hovland. But there are also excellent young players on LIV like Swafford in the team of Jon Rahm. And Adrian Meronk is also young and talented! Finally Nieman for example is still a young player too. Every time if LIV players compete on normal tour events they are on top of the picture - so Patrick Reed who only was beaten by Rory in Saudi Arabia.... Fact is that the PGA destroyed the sport, the players from Europe for example gets nearly zero ranking points, but they are beating the US stars in the ryder cup. Golf is a sport from Europe and not the property of the PGA tour. This game has to be taken and carried to the hole world! Why are 3 of 4 majors in USA? Why isn't one in Australia for example? Why isn't there maybe a fifth one in Asia or Africa? Monahan and the PGA are destroying the golf sport, they are sleeping and only interested in making money for their own. Monahan makes more money than a player like Hatton earned on the PGA tour. It's a rumor that old guys are on LIV, the players are in best age and only because of the mistakes Monahan did they are there. A player like Thomas Pieters wasn't as the world number 40 not good enough to get invited to the Arnold Palmer for example. Pieters is the next example for a player in the best ages... Rahm only played 4 events on LIV. He has played over 150 PGA tour events and only won 11 of those. If he wins the next two liv events he's statistics will go from winning 33% on liv to around 7% on the pga tour. And even if that where to happen, it doesn't prove anything. With your logic Talor Gooch is the worlds best player. And we all know that's not true. So much for a neutral view huh.

Golf was peak when Tiger played. He’s was a once in a generational player. It’s hard to find players when you’re limiting the size of the field. Increase the size and let the next Tiger woods rise up. Also why not increase the size to 400, and have 4 games go on at the same time? And only the top 100 goes to the majors. That would make each game count and those final games before the majors would mean a lot for those player near the cut line.

Monahan's pathetic press conference was also a joke. The PGA Tour is already becoming the feeder tour for LIV Golf. No one cares to watch 10 hours of golf with fields of over 100 players. As soon as the four majors announce their own qualification and special invitation criteria to ensure that the very best players from LIV Golf also get to participate on an annual basis, the monumental collapse of the PGA as being the best professional tour for golf will be complete, and then FOX Sports/Netflix/Amazon/Apple/whomever will swoop in to take the TV rights to broadcast LIV Golf events nationally in the US. The PGA Tour would then become the new Korn Ferry tour at that point. It's clear to see that is where this is all heading.

The "best players" left on the PGA Tour are playing so bad this year, its such horrible timing for this moment in terms of marketing. They needed the big guys to show up and compete to showcase that the PGA Tour still has the best players and it didn't happen. It makes the "depth" argument seem ridiculous now. Like the PGA Tour just had a few Jon Rahm's waiting in the shadows, that were just as good as Rahm (or other stars) and they're going to come out and show it now that some of the best players went over to LIV. Ridiculous to say that. I think they also screwed up with the limited field and qualification routes of these Signature Events. Like the guys said, yes its a PGA Tour event. But I think reading the tea leaves here, the plan seemed to be to create some special events throughout the season that were like Mini Majors. Real important tournaments showcasing best players, but they muffed by ignoring international players and by creating these weird qualification standards to get into the field.

Rory was saying to make the tour more competative...not specific events. What he doesn't want (I am presuming) is players who aren't playing well, maintaining playing status just because of past achievements - too much dead weight. No fans = no sponsors and no money...easy as pie. You can try and convince yourself and your viewers that the PGA is the strongest Tour, but everybody with half a brain can see the strength of the PGA fields...that and a fake and irrelevant OWGR is so obvious. I hope the tours stay separate because LIV don't need the PGA...though the PGA needs the LIV golfers to get some credibility back. Tours can stay separate, it is up to every tour to make their tour better and more attractive to keep golfers and to attract new golfers. Not by penalizing golfers that decided to play on another tour, and using your partners like OWGR and TV Networks to also penalizing them...cause that way your true colors shine through and fans leave you! And that is one of the reasons ignorant people, like the guy in the middle, think LIV has failed...because the PGA has used their monopoly and affiliates like the OWGR and TV Networks not to show LIV Golf...but LIV is alive and well, and growing despite the attempts of the PGA!!
