I’d much rather listen and learn of a studied fashion critic or somebody who actually works in the daily operations of fashion rather than an above average looking influencer who is good at promoting themselves online. The part about being allowed to borrow a piece says it all!!!

An amazing interview and take. Criticism is good for art. What’s fashion without editing? You need it to learn how to effectively articulate your vision in fabric form. If Dal has a Substack or his own channel, I need to sign up.

Really enjoyed this conversation and some great points brought up. I couldn't help but smile when they discussed about people entering fashion shows on film. That is exactly what I thought about Prada. Now they're shows have this dull stream of people getting out of cars and walking into the building. I really questioned it as I don't want to see all that. Kind of explains where Prada is heading (which is sad as they meant a lot). Honesty doesn't get you far if people don't want to hear it . There is also something vulgar and tacky of dressing people to attend your show. Especially some of them on the front row.

Prada have lost the plot, they send out way to much pr to influencers flooding social media. One part of luxury is not seeing pieces you buy everywhere.

Dal Chodha is just so fantastic. Have been listening to his take on many things for years. What an in-depth wise view. I just want to have a bottle of wine with him and discuss shit for hours! :D

Omg. Finally someone has the balls to say what I've been saying for a while.Everybodies scared to speak the truth. Why have a panel of 5 and they all agree with how amazing a whack collection was. It's boring. How about, just because you like clothes doesn't make you a stylist. You have a camera, your not necessarily a photographer. You read a few books, watched a few shows, you become a fashion writer.N.O.P.E. It's not that simple. Thank you for taking this stand. 👑

This has taken back to the times of Tom Blanks and Nicole Phelps. This is the fashion vernacular we must hear in today’s wearable climate. It has become nearly a slap in the face to the Creative Directors who’ve paved such vast roads. Producing this video in black and white makes it much more timeless. There is feeling and thought of wanderlust.

with everybody in the industry smooching with one another and benefiting economically from each other, corrupt critics and bland, one sided coverage comes as no surprise.
