For nearly 20 years, my friends and I have pointed to this performance as the essence of 1970s variety shows. It is, as Liberace would say "too much of a good thing". Amazing.

She was the greatest. She really could do anything.. dance, sing, act, entertain, do great impressions. And you can listen to her interviews all day long because she had the most interesting stories to tell and was always so funny. Such a loss, really. R.I.P. Debbie. You truly will be missed.

This is great! Do you have the whole show? If, so could you please post it in it's entirety? I haven't seen it in years. Thanks in advance.

Well, now I have heard (and seen) two alleged singers (the other Rita Coolidge) ruin a great Jackie Wilson song, originally, supposedly written by Billy Davis and Raynard Miner, although Gary Jackson's and Carl Smith's names appear on the record; a subsequent lawsuit decided an 80/20 royalties split. Both songwriting teams worked at the legendary Chess Records. But Debbie Reynolds' performance of the song, in this video, seems only a fragment of "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher."
