I grew up there in the 50's my grandparents homesteaded there, my dad helped build the civic club that was shown, theres a plaque inside with his name on it. I remember the big fight back in the mid 60's to keep it unincorporated, but i guess you cant stop growth. It was a wonderful place to grow up then, not so much now.

@@NachturnalOne there is a lot of property theft and that sort of crimes there now. When I lived there, it was way away from Seattle. Now, Seattle has kind of moved there and it has lost the small town feel and with it came all the petty crimes. I would suggest the Duvall area, although it's starting to grow also. Good luck with your move

What does the "downtown" look like? I've tried to find images and can only find a strip mall. Is there any real town center?

The town center is the shopping mall called "Town Center". It's not just a strip mall. There's a community events center, big bookstore, library, restaurants, and summer farmer markets are held there. When we say downtown we mean Seattle.
