I'm in the Greenville SC area and just bought my first DIY paints in Spartanburg, at Reinvintage Warehouse!! I bought Old 57and Blue Iris for a bedroom wall upstairs. And Weathered Wood, Old & Grey and Shipwrecked for a mildewing potting bench I bought and put teak oil on. I also bought Liquid Patina and brush cleaner. I am so psyched!!! Thank you Debi for introducing me to this wonderful world you have created!!!

YES, that looks just like my car and me looking for a receipt in my messy purse!!! i love it. I love Aleen's tacky glue too. I keep editing my comments as your video goes along. My niece just said she wants to make zuccini bread for Christmas gifts this year, too expensive to buys gifts. I told her it's perfect because it's homemade and delicious. Aww the poor guy sleeping there. Made me sad that he might be homeless. I love how the angels came out.

Debbie, you should look up Raima (1986), it is a stationary store. My sister and her husband just got back from a trip to Spain and Portugal and this store is amazing. The pictures she took blew me away. The furniture in there is all done in bold paints, with stationary added for accent, and everything is bold, luscious, rich, and fabulous! You will love it.

Beautiful and inspiring as always Debi. You’re not alone with all the clutter in your car…I keep mine in the car until my husband leaves, then sneak it in the house. Running out of places to hide my treasures. I gave away my jewelry box cabinet when I moved 7 years ago.😢 Have been regretting it ever since. Found one 6 months ago in Goodwill for $17……snatched that thing up. Now I’m seeing creators on KZbin redoing them so have been on the hunt for more, to sell in my booth. Long story not so short, found another one in Goodwill last week and they wanted $150 for it. That is so totally nuts, GW is outta control….they’re a thrift store, not consignment.😡 Anyway, can’t wait to see what you do with yours. Thanks for sharing your talent and giving me inspiration.

North of Asheville here. I wish I could join in Tulsa. That would be a nice get-away from the reality here. I love all the projects you do, can't think of one that I don't. Not sure if she's still a DIY Paint retailer anymore but I just wanted to mention, I have purchased your paint at the Regeneration Station. That building held so many cool items for collectors of all types. It took a direct hit from the water. You may be able to see it in some of the Swannanoa River videos or Biltmore.. it is the bright green colorful building. So many things destroyed there as well as the huge Tabacco Warehouse Antiques.

Debi, I just go out of my mind when I watch your very creative vids. The reason is that I live in Europe and all those beautiful I.O.D. Molds & your clay paints are almost impossible to get my hands on. A few years ago I ordered two I.O.D. Molds from another European country. By the time I paid for the molds( must more expensive than if bought in America) and paid shipping, each mold ended up costing me over €55 Euros….each! Now these gorgeous Christmas edition molds are out & all the U.S. crafters have busy posting ideas for using them…I’m going out of my mind with jealousy! I have yet to find the angels, one ones I want so badly. 😢😢😢😢 I so wish there was a way to supply Europe with your clay paints & the sister’s molds at a decent price & availability. I’m on a pension so I just cannot afford to buy the molds evert time they come out.😔😔😔😔😔 . But I will now watch your video, drool and dream. Love your quirky style. It’s sooo me!

I’m sorry I would be really frustrated too.💔 I know that IOD has international retailers. I’m not sure where but you should be able to find out information on their website. We have many retailers who will ship international. The shipping is expensive but they will do it. It’s hard to imagine that it would cost less coming from the US to you🤷🏻‍♀️ someday we hope to offer our products in Europe, It is not easy to do because of laws and regulations unfortunately.

@DebisDesignDiary It is not only the shipping costs Debi…It is also Customs charges… Fortunately in the UK we can get IOD products from local retailers but DIY paint, as you know, does not exist. I have had two precious pots brought over by a friend who came to see us from New York and I am using them ever so sparingly so that they can last as long as possible…😢🎉

Yayyyyyy I got me some paint! I got maximalist in place of a black and ghosted in place of yellow. I’ve been using red yellow and black and blending them for various colors. 😊❤

If you mix a little glue into the clay would it become more durable/ less chance to crack or break? Are you using that great caulk from Hawaii?

How do you keep the paper clay from cracking and shrinking when it dries?

You can’t really keep it from shrinking. It’s the nature of the product. You can backfill with more clay after it dries kind of like using wood putty. Cracking can be avoided by making sure your clay is Preston really good and dense however, sometimes I intentionally don’t do that because I love the vintage look of the cracks. I can get my decrepit dust down into the cracks and it’s so pretty, in my opinion. The clay can curl up on the edges. If you set the molds out to dry I avoid this by immediately gluing the molds onto the surface while they are still fresh or I will use painters tape to gently keep them in place without smashing the design you can also set a very lightweight book on top of them as they dry, hope this helps in my opinion. The clay looks so much better than the resin and you can manipulate it a lot more.

I want to paint some tin roofing ai am using indoors on a ceiling? Any suggestions would help. I am trying to open a little business in a very old home. It’s from 1900. It is the same mold I used for the angels. I only used a portion of it to create the bust.

I have made many furniture pieces with the clay It seems to be fine as long as you use a good glue, I prefer it to resin and other products :)
