*Debi:* First, let me say I love just about EVERYTHING you do and have been a subsciber for many years. *Your CREATIVITY and PASSION for COLOR are so incredibly INSPIRING!* Now, for this piece, as a commercial artist, I think part of the problem was you were adding *too many non-complimentary colors.* I strongly suggest sticking to a pre-decided pallet and then going with SHADES of those pre-decided colors, if you want to add more interest, INSTEAD of adding non-complimentary colors. A color wheel is a powerful tool! (There's a reason it is so popular.) 😉 This buffet had GREAT BONES and you found the magic in the end. And *this buffet is absolutely beautiful!* Keep up the fantastic work! PS. *A big part of being an artist is somehow KNOWING when to STOP.* Knowing when your masterpiece is done is something we all struggle with at times! (We've all been there before and pushed it to that uncomfortable and regrettable place! Fortunately DIY Paint is really so fixable and SO FORGIVABLE! You could say, just like Jesus.) 😉 ✝️ 🕊

I love ALL your Videos! I dont know how many times Ive watched them lol!! I still remember years ago stumbling accross your videos staying up thru the night watching them all. Lol! It was right after my dad died. Im so glad I have the joy of painting now as a tool to bring me Joy. Do you think you will be making a tutorial for painting on the "bibs" ? Also could you teach us MEMBERS ONLY the AI for staging?

Yes, people can disagree, but they need to do it in a respectful manner because after all, neither your opinion (and choice) Debi, OR their opinion (and choice) is THE. ABSOLUTE. TRUTH. And if either party thinks theirs IS, then there's the need for one to discover their "judgementalism" they put out into this world AND to learn a new and compassionate way of expressing both their opinion about it while at the same time causing NO disrespect/insult/"holier than thou" attitude onto the other person. NOTHING is gained by that except one person feeling "superior" over the other, and this world sure does NOT need more people like that. Also.......I'm with ya on saving/salvaging just the drawers. Sometimes that IS the only part worthy of repurposing. I would LOVE to have been able to see actual video footage from this store's back alley showing the orphaned/abandoned furniture. To be able to actually see it sitting there, see the length of time it sits there before somebody possibly takes it, and then to see what pieces actually get taken away to the landfill. I'm not holding my breath, but it might make many of those critics reconsider their opinions when they see that such in your isolated case with the drawers, that had you NOT salvaged the drawers in time........the WHOLE piece would have gone to the landfill. At least YOU saw possibility in something the majority would have simply and quickly passed right over. And I believe the only reason you second guessed yourself is because 1) you have a very compassionate heart, and 2) you started being concerned with what OTHERS would think of your actions. You ALMOST allowed that to override your very own intuitive gut knowledge and wisdom. I'm - along with a whole SLEW of others - happy that you honored yourSELF and YOUR judgement and wisdom.

Debbie 10 short years ago I wanted to make a mermaid crown for my granddaughters birthday party and found your video on how to do it. That started me on my diy paint and creative journey! I found others to watch and learn from all because of you. Today I still love your videos! I live in Tennessee but one of these days I hope to visit your shop in California. You are such an inspiration. ❤

I just want to say to everyone who may be reading this: never apologize for crying. Your emotions are valid, if you are worried about making someone uncomfortable (or BEING uncomfortable) don't be...grief is hard. Hiding it makes it harder, for you and for people around you who need to be exposed to what grieving looks like. Many hugs to everyone.

Jesus is the hope and the future for everyone of us. He is the lasting hope. Hope based on anything but the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will not last. God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that he has thought of peace towards us,to give us an expected end. ". Jesus tells us in John 10:10 " I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ". If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, call on him now and ask him to forgive your sins and save you. Then trust him and let him guide your steps. Life is not about having things. It's about having the joy in your heart that only Jesus can give. And sharing the knowledge of him with others so they can know that joy in him. God loves you and wants you to be a part of his family. Jesus will be there for you no matter what you go through. His love is amazing. Whatever we do let us do it all in Jesus name and by his power. Love from a sister in Christ.
