Regarding the "Pickfair" reference: Pickfair was a huge mansion in Beverly Hills owned by Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. A few years after Mary died, Pia Zadora bought it but subsequently had it torn down and said that it was infested by termites. She later admitted to lying about termites and that she thought it was inhabited by ghosts. That explains Debbie's line "I heard it was infested by termites". Just some trivia FYI. Great song!

@HEY 4Q2 'Sometimes people just explode.' I wasn't sure if Repo Man would stand up to my 52-year-old sensibility, but I like it now at least as much as I did at the time. It's hilarious and unique. I hated Sid and Nancy at the time, but was unaware that anyone else did. It's been very validating to find it so universally loathed.

But the Pistols had felt like such an important cultural moment and like serious art in a lot of ways and I think the film utterly failed to do justice to or live up to that. It's like some trivial, unrealistic and not very funny cartoon.
