Bowel Babe, .. what an inspirational woman. Happy to donate to her charity. Cancer isn't the big killer it used to be if caught early.

Just been diagnosed today for the second time in 12 month. Tumor removed and then 6 months worth of chemo first time round. It’s back in my colon again, I’ve been told it’s incurable and all I have is the option for chemo again to prolong my life. I’m only 45 with two young boys. I’m still at the early stage of having received the news but I want to remain positive and fight this awful Illness that destroys so many families. Thanks for your inspirational story. I hope I get a second chance of life.

She died of bowel cancer in June 2022 and she was declared no evidence of disease in 2020, not cancer free. Her treatments were working and had driven her cancer down to the point of not being detectable. However, cancer cells still existed at the microscopic level and as the cancer mutated and evolved, the treatment stopped working and the cancer progressed. This is very common with cancer patients.
