Debra’s anger stems from Ray and his mom. He was an idiot man child that never did anything to help Deb out around the house, and his mom not only coddled him, she criticized everything she did. He was a lousy husband and Marie was a terrible MIL.

I grew up with this show, and I always thought that Debra was the most patient and understanding of all the characters. Every time she lost her shit, I would be like "yea, i get it... you are right". As a teenager, Debra became an ideal of mine as a "perfect wife" (whatever thats supposed to mean....)

There should've been a storyline where Debra and Ray separate for a period of time. Debra and the kids could've stayed in the house while having Ray move BACK home with his mom and dad. It would've been fun to see his life devolve into complete shambles. Ray reduced to the loser man/baby being taken care of by his mommy, while Robert is finally out of the house and married to Amy. The role reversal would've been hilarious.

This is why Robert and Debra had close bonded understanding in-law sibling relationship from their shared experiences with Ray and Maria. They understood each other better than her own husband aka immatured Mom's boy Ray ever did. Frank was out there in attitude but he has treated Debra moreso better in loving and understanding father-in-law relationship than Ray or Maria by standing up in verbal and protectively support for Debra multiple of times against Ray and Maria who had gone way too far in attitudes and words when comes to Debra. Especially when Frank had enough of Maria and Ray of running their mouths and badmouthing Debra who didn't deserve it and she was mother of his grandchildren.

Debra was so honest, while Raymond was always denieing, dancing around trying to kerp himself out of any conflict. And who loved his wife , but loved not having to do anything in regard to housework, raising their kids, taking responsibility for 1/2 of the relationship etc. Raymond never eanted to be an adult. But somehow in this show these very serious and common issues were presented in mature, funny and realistic episodes. So funny.

They’re are NOT enough women / wives / mother’s & more like Debra. She’s tough & fair in dealing w/ each of the Barone’s. She’s BRAVE, BOLD & has REAL LOVE for Ray to stick it out. A lot of women would not. But, they are also credited. Debra stands up to each of them when needed & does NOT give 💩💩 if they don’t like & appreciate it. Debra was a FORCE to be revoked with. Even scared Peggy the cookie bully. Debra would’ve been better off marrying Robert. Who’s my 2nd favorite character. Timmy the Traffic cop dummy is HILARIOUS! So LIFE-like! Ray’s a moron. And IT IS because of Marie. And Frank. Although, Frank has had Debra’s back when it came to Marie & Ray. He took one of Marie’s bullets for Debra. WOW! THIS IS a GREAT SHOW! ALWAYS LMAO!😂🤣

Again, was was as fair as Debra when confronting & accountability w/ Ray, Marie & Frank. I always kinda saw myself a little in Robert. Both big guys, trying to stay on right path despite our upbringing & badly effected by selfishness in blood line. And his love for dogs. It’s bad enough his family IS NUTZ, but Amy’s is cooky, too. Especially, Peter. Being a cop must’ve helped Robert in a different therapeutic way.

I watch this show every night i evev re-run this show not bc of ray i think ran is lazy and boring he doesn't even like his own kids and he gets jealous of Robert bc Robert makes a good dad . I blame her. She is a serial domestic abuser. She couldn't hold a job for a day because of her obnoxiousness. She can't be bothered to look after her home or kids. Whines . But worst of all, she bullies her husband relentlessly. She is repeatedly physically assaultative, demeans and humiliates him, weaponises sex. Then she expects him to come home from work and clean the house and the mind the kids when she hasn't. I loathe abusers and her character was entitled superior and a serial domestic abuser.
