This season I'll be lucky enough to get two weeks on the snow; your videos help extend the virtual season. Thanks Deb. I love this teaching method. There's a whole "how did they get there" story behind every photo. Excited for more of these before the snow arrives and sweeps you up the hill!

great photo collection of the great racers, and their turns. and spot on with the stacking lesson, as usual. my first day of skiing this season, i was fighting the too much flexion tendency, especially too much knee flexion, which causes those lame skiddy rotational turns. once i got stacked over my outside ski, things were so much better. ps the wayne wong tail launch photo is still super kool.

hello Deb. You know, the shaped skies were originally created 200-250 years ago. Since you are a dedicated skier you might have heard about Sondre Norheim (?) who died nearly 200 years ago. Those guys, from Telemark Norway, was some crazy skiers who played around a lot with the shape of their skies. I was participating in writing a book about skiing technique/skiing education some years ago, when I discovered that the shape the GS had (this is like 10 years ago) had more or less -exactly- the same measures as the skies they created. Blew my mind, we have been making all kind of funny shapes on skies and ended up with a shape that is literally more than 200 years old...

Hi Deb, I’m a long time snowboarder, but I rented a pair of skis last season and fell in love with the maneuvers of them. The only thing is I can’t remember a damn detail about the skis. I want to buy a pair this season. Being on the mountain for a lot of years in my life I ride through everything, bumps, crud, trees, and ice slash piste. Do you have any recommendations for a first time ski that can do it all for a 5 foot 11 male at 265 lbs ?

Thanks, Deb. I love listening to you talk about ski technique. It's like a firehose of knowledge. I might have to watch this a few times to take it all in! P.S. The pride mug looks super sharp but I literally have way too many mugs already, lol. Will you be getting any more items in the store? I only see the mug. 😁
