Introducing Young Chicks to Older Flock (Part 2)

Now that the young chicks have grown I felt it was time to allow them to mingle with the older hens. Here is how that went.

is there a chance that young rooster gets bullied into submission and then never takes charge of the pecking order and mates? thanks

+kurumais I have no idea if that ever happens. As it turned out he is in control of the flock. He has won over the ladies and they trust him. When I let them out of the pens they follow him around.

i guess it was just an age and confidence thing.

Yeah. He just needed a little more time to grow.

He was just too young, when his 6 months old and up, he shouldn't have a problem with the hens
