If I may suggest, next time you want to align the numbers use a laser level on a tripod. Then you will have a contact free line of reference to insure proper placement.

How u have sticked those numbers?
@bigsabertoothbunny59865 жыл бұрын
My recommendation: once it sits for those 2 hours and reached the tacky point, move the clock base to another board. On that board have the 12 lines drawn out for the clock numbers so that you only have to line them up based on those line rather than eyeballing it solely. Beautiful piece, well done overall. Epoxy is a wonderful material to work with if used properly because of its versatility of uses and endless color options.

I haven't done a resin pour yet, but watch many videos on it. Would it be possible to add the numbers right after the pour and when you have more control over number placement and the resin is more forgiving? Or during the sticky period, forcing the move and maybe do another layer of clear resin over the top, once all the numbers are right? Love your work.
@DebraSmithArt6 жыл бұрын
You can certainly add the numbers right after the pour. I find that sometimes they move when placed that early because the resin is still fluid and moving. I could also wait until it's cured and add the numbers and then a clear coat. Thanks for watching!

I tried the envirotech lite from Michaels, but it hardened up before I had a chance to mix my colors. Any helpful suggestions as to why?
@DebraSmithArt6 жыл бұрын
It only has about 30 minutes of working time from the instant you combine parts A and B. Did you let it sit for a few minutes? Did you measure each equally?
@beccajodesigns6 жыл бұрын
@@DebraSmithArt Thanks for replying so quickly. I didn't let it sit because I poured it into my individual cups and they started to melt. (plastic punch style cups) I tried mixing the color pigments in quickly so I could get it on my board, but the just came out clumpy. It was probably all in all a total of 20 minutes tops before I threw everything away. All of the videos I have watched, the resin pours out in smooth liquid form, so I was really excited to try this medium. Do you recommend any other resin I could try to get that fluidity I see in all the videos?
@aprilbrown52055 жыл бұрын
@@beccajodesigns what did you use to color your resin? I do know if you add too much paint it will make your resin set up faster than normal.
@khione80445 жыл бұрын
@@beccajodesigns How much Resin did you Mix together? The more Resin you Mix, the Hotter it gets. Could be you mixed too much at once? It's been 10 months since you posted this, so would love to know if you ever learned what the issue was that happened.
