Those will be very hard to find because the video footage of the early episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson before 1966 no longer exist. They were recorded on film because there was no videotape back then and networks in the 1950s and 1960s usually overwrite the original broadcast of shows with other boradcast to save expenses on film.

It's possible that the tape exists in the Carson Entertainment library but it's not searchable for those of us outside the company. It might also exist at some TV station archives, I did recently see some color TV from the 60s of Carson's Tonight Show uploaded to KZbin from TV station accounts. But who knows if any hidden treasures will ever get general exposure.

Love the montage, but somehow it gets shown on daily motion. The number of adds on daily motion make it almost unwatchable.
