Hi. I would recommend looking at the Toyota Highlander - it's a got a 3rd row seat and it drives great.. one fell in our lap a couple of years ago.. it's a 2020, I think & had only 47,000 miles on it.. we love it.. it's roomy & a great drive!

Having $8000 for next years Christmas Holiday trip, and covering our $18,000 insurance bill is my focus this year. And adding to my Europe trip in 2028 is also a focus

I would definitely recommend checking out the cars you are interested in person as the third row might not be large enough for a kid or significantly shrinks the trunk space. I really like my Chevy Traverse. Spacious and lots of trunk space too.
@DearDebt2 күн бұрын
That is a great suggestion!!

I second this! I like to Toyota Highlander with the third row but it makes for a tight fit.

Happy Friday Amy, great job with the savings for the car. That’s an awesome start. I just paid off my debt so I’m working on completing my first month ahead and starting on my second. Looking forward to following your progress❤

My main financial goal for this year is to stay within my budget each month so that we can save and invest more.

I love my Volvo XC90. It seats my family of 7 great. 4 adults and 3 children with 2 in car seats. As also, enjoyed your video. Happy New Year

I love my Honda Fit and I’ve heard that Subaru vehicles usually have fewer repair expenses.
@DearDebt2 күн бұрын
Yes I’ve heard that about Subaru as well!

We have a Highlander and Caravan but they are old 😂 We don’t use the third row on the Highlander bc it would feel like we’re putting a kid in the trunk 😳 we love having a minivan bc then we have space for my inlaws when they visit and for roadtrips. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Dodge though

Definitely not against a mini van!

After a fire 2 years ago and the vet bills for two very missed cats I’m working on getting my emergency fund as nd sinking funds restocked. 😁
@DearDebt2 күн бұрын
I hope that it happens very quickly for you, I’m so sorry to hear about the fire. That’s absolutely heartbreaking.
@genealotech2 күн бұрын
@ I consider myself to be extremely blessed. The fire was caused by the roofers who were refreshing the foam on the flat roof. They were hired and vetted by the HOA (I live in a condo complex). The fire erupted over the unit for my neighbor across the hall from me and his unit was completely gutted. Mine had smoke damage and the busted door jam from the fire department. I was at work when this happened and a friend of mine called me to tell me my home was on fire. My entire building had the electricity cut off for a week and thankfully my cats were safe. It was just an expensive week until my home was checked and approved to come back after a week. Between that and a lot of expensive vet bills for the cats that came up suddenly pretty much ate up all of my emergency funds.

Question: Do you work on one goal at a time?
@DearDebt2 күн бұрын
Yes! I just prefer it that way because we can focus all our attention on it. However, we are always investing in the background (401ks) and also saving (sinking funds)
