My husband died in 3 weeks from Lewy Body and Parkinsons. He paid $70,000, into LTC insurance. I was arranging equipment to take hom home and was informed there was a 90 day period before and payments. He passed quickly. They paid me $250. Better off to put your money in a bank

Insurance Companies are practicing medicine and will deny everything on the first round. Here is what I do. Get a copy of all medical records of your issue. Make and keep a copy for yourself and write a stern letter and send via USPS certified with signature. In the letter give a deadline. Typically give them a week to ten days for a response. Keep a copy of the letter for yourself as well. And see what happens. At this time of year, things go slower, so don't panic. Any conversation you have, follow up with a recap of the exchange. Again keep a copy of anything you send in. If it drags out, go directly to the ER. Don't risk your life for an idiotic insurance company. I have gone so far as to hire an attorney to sort things out. Don't worry about money up front, they get paid a percentage of any settlement you receive. Hope this helps you some. Right now I am going in for heart surgery. Fighting everyday and I am not supposed to have any stress. Go figure.

In 1992, my newly constructed house got pelted by hail and the roof had to be replaced! Thankfully insurance covered it. 2 years later, the A/C had to be replaced! Insurance didn't cover it.

An ectopic pregnancy is a medical emergency. This caller is a little too giggly for having a condition that can cause you to bleed out suddenly. You can go into any ER and they will work you up quickly for this concern.

I went to the ER three days ago and because there was no heart beat three days ago they couldn’t diagnose me having an ectopic pregnancy. I called tricare along with my PCM all tricare will cover until I see my OBGYN (currently shopping for one because no one is taking patients until March in my area) is blood work to check HCG levels every 48 hours. Based on my period I’m just now six weeks. This poor girl is going to be going through a lot to get tricare to cover anything until her first appointment I’m there right now.

Med school is an area where the no debt ideology departs from reality. We'd have very few doctors coming out of med schools in their 50s if they saved cash for it. Earning that money at a much lower salary before med school makes no sense

Never is the opportunity cost of delaying an M.D. salary discussed. People would lose out on millions of dollars if they saved up for years to pay cash for medical school tuition. In order to never break the no student loans rule of Ramsey they give bad financial advice to their potential medical student listeners.

@@haloimplant7678 exactly. This is where Dave and his team consistently show their ignorance. No one is cash flowing medical school. Either they've taken out loans, have family who are funding it, or are offsetting some of the burden with grants and scholarships. But no one is saving $250k to pay for it out of pocket. This show gives sound advice, most of which caters to the lowest common denominator. But their aptitude seldom extends into the areas of medicine and the education it requires.

Do your med degree through the military they will pay for it with some years of service you owe them. If your single it's the way to go. So many great benefits being in the military. If you have to go to war you are helping to colleagues to save their lives. So great.

These represent a tiny minority of students and aren’t the solution for the vast majority of medical students. Also, you make double in the private sector than what the military pays. It’s a terrible financial move. It’s a great move if you want to be a military doc, but a terrible move on a purely financial basis.

Such a bad idea to delay medical school to save for it. Every year you delay med school is a year of an attending physician salary you miss our on. My med school cost was 400k after everything included, tuition,, interest and living. My salary is 450k as a Primary care physician. What kind of saving for medical school was going to offset that. Dave's advice sometimes is just not bespoke enough

Long term care insurance has changed dramatically since my parents purchased it. It's now ridiculously expensive and covers nothing unless you want a premium higher than your mortgage payment and yes, I used a Ramsey endorsed individual.

I left tn and moved to NY state. I made $225 net a week living in tn at $9 an hour 40 hours a week. In ny I make $502-$511 net at $16 an hour 40 hours a week. My current rent is $575 a month for a 3 bedroom, in tn I was pay $700 a month for a 2 bedroom and I was struggling!

Zander insurance denied me because skin cancer was discovered on my arm. Since then I had the melanoma removed. Zander said maybe after a year of the procedure being done I could reapply. I’ve given up on term life insurance.

There is no state income tax. There is still federal income tax which you still have to pay in every state, and it is much higher than any state tax. Also states without state income tax, like Tennessee, have a high sales tax. Thus in practical terms you don't save much unless you buy nothing.

43:41 apparently, Ann in Phoenix hasn't done a cursory Google search about ectopic pregnancies, nor asked her doctor for details, but her life could be in danger! She's flirting with disaster waiting for insurance. Go to the ER and have this looked at. Mt MIL nearly died from an ectopic pregnancy. She doesn't appear to be taking this very seriously.

As someone who is currently going through this. I have been in the ER THREE times so far . Until I got my OBGYN switched I couldn’t get in until March to see an OBGYN. I have had three different ERs say to my face “you are probably having an ectopic pregnancy but because you are too early to see a heart beat we cannot do anything. Come back if you are in more pain”

An ectopic pregnancy is an emergency. The embryo can not survive in your tubes; it should have implanted in the uterus. As it grows some until it dies due to being in the wrong place, it will stretch your tube, causing it to burst and bleed out. The result is you both die. It is also EXTREMELY painful. You need to seek medical help immediately.

Tricare is about one of the best medical insurances ever. She needs to contact her PCM or her OBGYN and go from there. There seems to be some holes in her call.
