I am so glad I found your video, I am going through the same thing. I pay all of my bills on time and try to pay a little more and feel like my balances go up instead of down. January I started the cash budgeting and the snowball method. I am seeing a little light but I know it is going to take a long time. I love watching these videos and realizing I am not the only one and I can do it! The support from this community is amazing and I am learning so much by watching!

Thank you for the support. I to love these videos. We can only hang in there you know. I chose the Avalanche over snowball due to the interest.

@@pennysavedisapennyearned Looking at my monthly charges I think I may have to start the Avalanche as well. I almost have my first cc paid off then I will re-look everything. I didn't realize (all my fault) how HIGH one of my credit cards interest is. So I really want to start that one!

@@DawnsSunriseBudgeting yes it takes so much money to pay off the interest. So yes the more you put to it the lower it comes. They depend the interest on your monthly balance so I get that now. I’m so happy you found something that will help you.

Hi Penny. I’m can feel your frustration and heartbreak my friend. I love these kind of videos too because I can relate so much to them. I’m here rooting for you Penny. As frustrating as seeing all that interest is consistency is key. It will get better as the balance gets lower. Keep making those payments. Every dollar helps even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes. I’m all about the debt journey. These videos are hard to film but you’ve got solid plan to meet your goals 💕🌸🙏

This new subscriber is cheering you on!! May I recommend that you pay towards the card EVERY paycheck. So the $470 and pay half every check. And if you are lucky enough to have magic months, then you pay more than expected on certain months! Best of luck on your financial journey!! 🙏🏻💰🙏🏻

🙏 When I watched this video, my heart hurt for you because I was in your shoes not too long ago. The interest on our many debts ate up all of the progress we were doing to decrease it. Hang in there, eventually, as your balance comes down, more money will come off the Belk balance and less to interest. That’s how credit cards keep you shackled to them. I love your plan to tackle this though and you will be completely DEBT FREE in a very short time. Not many people can say that… pat yourself on the back because you’re doing a fabulous job. If there is anyway for me to help you, please let me know. Do you mind if I share this video? I’d like to help you reach more subscribers if that is ok!?

You got this Penny. Every extra dollar you can throw at Belk will help, as the balance goes down so will the interest. Maybe look into a 0% credit card that you could transfer the balance to. Keep at it and you will make progress. 🙏💜

When you pay extra you need to pay it separately and have it paid to principal only and your balance will decrease faster.😊 you will not pay any interest by paying it this way.

Thank you Deena. So if I made an extra payment the same month it’ll all go to the principal?

Yes. They said a big No on that! I am gonna check and see if maybe I can get a personal loan with a low interest rate to pay it off.
