When she talked about getting fired... the exact same thing happened to me. Hotel guest came late, I reinstated her reservation, but whatever company discount she had was voided out and I couldn't apply it. I explained the policy numerous times of why I couldn't approve the large discount and that because it was a 3-day weekend, the GM and AGM wouldn't be in till Tuesday. She got so upset, she wanted the number to the management company we were through - which I gave to her - and she made a complaint about me for "refusing to help her". My GM even told me, "We don't want to do this, but because of those above me, I have to set an example" and I was fired. As much as I enjoyed the people and atmosphere of hospitality, it's really hard for me to get into a mindset to go back for employment (I work in another industry now).

One of my friends is this. She has a trust fund that will cover her for the rest of her life. Because she has no concept of money, she floats through life believing that you can "manifest" anything you want, including money, and it is a huge strain on my friendship with her. She also has no tolerance for real/negative things. When one of my good friends passed away and I was grieving, she happily cheered "I can tell he's in a good place now!" and quickly changed the subject. They are fragile and live in bubbles that will pop, and it won't be pretty.

Aubrey, I haven't watched your episode yet, but I wanted to comment right away. Being naive about finances is dangerous, not cute. Naivety about how money works can lead to abuse, manipulation. It makes your life harder and can make you an easy target for abusers. I'm a decade older than you and I didn't get my sh*t together until I was 29, so I know you can turn this around! Being financially independent is incredibly rewarding and empowering. Best of luck! ♥ Edit: Girl, you can totally start your own small business! I'm in the middle of this right now. You can pull together a business plan in a week. If the licensing is a huge barrier, then you could consider a mobile bartending service with craft cocktails. One of my friends here in ATX had a lot of success with her mobile bartending business (she ended up selling the business for profit to go back to school). I think you're awesome and I hope you can be a business owner! You got this!!

One thing I think Caleb doesn’t think about when asking why these people care about their credit is that usually people who aren’t financially wealthy or savvy are renters. And now most rental properties are owned by companies - and require credit checks. So although I don’t care about my credit to take out more debt - you do need a 650+ to rent most apartments or homes. This country runs on credit in more ways than just debt.

“Did you watch the show with the volume turned off?” 😂😂😂

I was actually about to ask the same thing.

Conversely, just listening to the show without watching is just whoa... no face expressions to cushion the blows of stupidity. I fear for humanity

When she asked “THE question”, I died at Caleb’s expression 🤣🤣🤣

Caleb calling the guest's dad was very entertaining.

This channel allowed me to pay massive debts. I paid for an air conditioner in cash! Paid 10k down on a personal loan for solar. Saved a 20k emergency fund that allowed me to take 6 months off to ride out a non-compete to gain an almost 21% raise! No more hustling unless I want to. 😢 This channel changed my life!!!

When she said that her ex was "controlling," you KNOW it was just him saying that she needs to grow up, be responsible with her money, and party less. 🙄
