Do you know what culture you used on your "bad rice" group? I'm wondering if maybe the type of culture had something to do with the results. For example, penicillin prevents other things from growing in the medium it's growing in. Maybe you accidentally inoculated the "bad rice" with something that was prohibiting other things from growing.

Every thought has a frequency and vibration. Every water molecule is able to hold / pattern itself according to that vibration. We are 75-85% water and that water absorbs our thoughts, it matters how we mentally feel about ourselves and others All creation is alive with frequency, resonance and vibration. Regardless how we measure/ or cannot yet measure it with our materials and observation. Most compelling study to continue & validate water memory studies are the countless experiments of freezing pure water that is exposed to negative or positive frequencies wether they’re sent by the researchers mind (like in the rice study) or by using technologies like playing harmonic vs. dissonant music / sound frequencies to the water before it freezes. The results are 100% clear and repeatable showing sacred geometry/ snowflake patterns vs. disjointed mess depending on the energy. Positive vibrations are also show to overwrite the negative ones. One drop of spring water can harmonise the entire glass of otherwise messy freezing patterned tap water, these are evidence of the self-healing properties of water that humans with positive mindset enjoy every second of their life wether they’re aware of it or not. Namaste ❤ 🙏 🌞

As a skincare enthusiast who's already heard about the dangers of the homemade sunscreen trend, I appreciate your work in spreading the awareness outside of that internet niche. There is quite a lot of chemistry involved in getting the correct particle size, making a shelf-stable emulsion of the ingredients, and ensuring that the final mix makes a consistent protective film on real human skin. While the acetate test and UV cameras are interesting comparitive demonstrations, there's a reason why final SPF still requires testing on real humans in laboratory settings! 👍

I'm glad you showed that UV meter. A thing to note about sunscreen tests is that the UV camera isn't an accurate way of testing protection, as products that absorb UV will look dark even with insufficient amounts of product applied. They're good for showing if you've missed spots when applying but not for showing if you've applied *enough*. Lab Muffin Beauty Science has a video demonstrating the limitations of sunscreen sticks that goes into more detail on this if anyone's interested, well worth watching because a lot of sunscreen reviewers use UV cameras to demonstrate effectiveness without realising the limitations!

For the Rice test, one thing I'd bring up is people are "talking" into the jars (if they are opening it, obviously is kept sealed this doesn't matter but one of the vids did have an open top). Typically when you say something nice/loving you speak gently so less breath, when you say something hateful you breath a lot harder, so a lot more breath/spit will be going into the jar, aka bacteria.

Mythbusters did an experiment with an apple under a pyramid. The theory is that if you chop and apple in half and place one half under a pyramid, it will rot slower thanks to the mystical powers of the pyramid. And sometimes it does! However, what actually happens is that two sides of the blade that chops the apple can have different amounts and types of microbes, which can dramatically affect how fast each half of the apple rots. Without sterilizing the blade first, the experiment is doomed to fail or succeed depending on chance and your own bias.

Really neat!

I believe it. A therapist once told me that this romantic idea of people saying 'our relationship is perfect; we never disagree about anything!" is neither 'romantic' nor 'perfect'. It is actually unhealthy because it almost always means that one person is suppressing their own needs and wants (and is often actively being oppressed by the other person) and that is tremendously unhealthy both for the person holding it all in as well as for the relationship overall.

I also wondered where they kept each jar. In Ann's experiment, they were all in one general spot. In this case I would wonder if the rice in one box could be impacted by the dialogue from another, but I'm also confident she would have considered that and adjusted the volume. And, that is still a better experimental design than say putting one jar in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the bathroom. Or really even than putting one at one end of the kitchen, one at the other end, and one in the middle.

@@rossbooth6335 they are correct in a sense that normal thin clothes will not block UV. Thin clothing that can actually block UV rays need a UPF rating. But even these types of clothing have a caveat. UPF clothing companies offer garments with a wide range of UPF ratings, but at least 50 is the recommended when it comes to actual adequate sun protection for both UPF and even SPF. Another thing is that, UPF will wear off over time depending on the care for the garment. UPF clothing is great, but it should have at least a 50 UPF rating and an ability to withstand multiple washes, coupled with SPF on any areas with exposed skin

One interesting thing about the sound experiment. In studies it has been proven that sound helps promote growth, that includes bacteria, fungi and mold. To put it simply, what sound does is it helps to shake the cells apart when they are multiplying, which decreases the amount of time that they need to do that and it means they can become individual cells faster. So in a sterilized experiment, you should see more mold in the samples with sound compared to the neglected ones.

I remember that at least one company began embossing their plastic bottles with positive words such as - love, joy, happiness etc. The words were often on the base of the bottle and they were not meant to stand out in any way. Ultimately it was more about the words being on the bottles rather than the bottles “hearing” the words being said out aloud. I wasn’t online at the time so this is all that I remember.

For the rice study my first thoughts as to why the influencers experiments seemed to follow Dr Emoto's claims is pure selection bias. If there are lots of influencers doing it they are all going to get random results, some will get similar in all 3 jars, some will get more in some than others just by chance. If in their experiment all the mouldy jars are the same (as they mostly will be) it doesn't make for a good video so it never gets made so we never see the results, but for the few that DO see a difference they make a video out of it, especially if it shows the difference in the "correct" direction.
