Hey, just asking your opinion. Do you get better flavor from your sessions with foil+hmd or just hmd by itself cause I haven’t used foil in a while and I’m starting to see more people use foil+hmd more than just hmd only

so the part about the foil is one I believed too, but according to manufacturers there is no difference. I haven’t tried to run an experiment yet but am considering it.

Smoking fruit head is fine, but people ussually start to teach/say that it is better then clay bowls and the sessions are longer(and other bs to new people), thats what makes me angry.

If strictly talking just smoke volume its up there no question for sure. but other than that there are no really good studies and the smoke is different between the two.

I find that the silicon bowl with the metal top instead of tin foil works the best. I usually put the metal top on the stove for a couple of minutes to get the hookah started quicker. I agree. Fruit heads are a scam. It over powers the flavor and doesn’t get me light headed because the fruit juice dilutes the shisha juices.

I would just say be careful with putting any metal HMDs on a stove or burner to preheat them. If you do that, you’re putting something very hot on shisha that isn’t hot and it prematurely burns the shisha. If you put the HMD without doing that, it allows the shisha to heat up gradually without shocking it with a lot of heat right away (allowing it to heat up properly as the HMD is heating up and you’re using the shisha)

So I dont agree about cutting the shisha up and how densely it should be packed. In my experience, a shisha that is very finely cut can be dense packed for a longer session with great results. I have had great results cutting up shisha that is not finely cut and packing it dense or semi-dense. In my experience, optimum density for packing is primarily a factor of the cut, and I maintain that any finely cut shisha (like trifecta blonde lets say) can be dense or semi dense packed with great results.

The aluminum foil myth is the stupidest topic I’ve ever heard discussed. Sure the shiny side may reflect heat better than the dull side, but the percentage of difference is so small you wouldn’t even be able to tell. Most of the communities favorite HMDs are made of dulled or coated aluminum, and you all swear by them, so what’s wrong with using the dull side of foil? It’s more of a superstitious thing at this point.

If it’s working for you, keep doing it. Not knocking how anyone smokes. The goal is to have the best session possible, so even if it’s a little bit better, it’s still better. But again, if it works for you, it works for you!

Keep doing these reviews and information videos. You are the only one IMO that doesn’t say you have to do it this way but more of a whatever works best for you info…..
