Jordan’s version of load management: kick the other team’s ass after 3 quarters so you can sit the bench and watch the role players maintain the lead in the 4th.

And a huge leads like 35 point lead to start the 4th quarter eliminated the need to shoot more clutch baskets. That's the reason why Jordan shot 50% in clutch situations. Basically destroying the team completely in the first 3 quarters is also clutch to me.

Michael Jordan never once lost to a team in the playoffs who didn't have a better record. Every single year that his team entered a series with the same or better record they were undefeated. On top of that, he won 2 of his 6 finals against teams that DID have a better record.

And look at 1989 -Jordan took a 47 win Chicago team past the 57 win Cavs, the 52 win Knicks and took the 63 win Pistons to Game 6. His playoff averages that year: 34.8 points, 7.6 assists and 7.0 rebounds. Pippen averaged 13.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists in those 1989 playoffs. He was teaching Pippen (and Grant and company) how to compete.

Don't get me wrong I loved Jordan and the Bulls but many times I felt the other team was cheated. IMO many teams the Bulls played had better shooters and Jordan would always pull it out for the Bulls. Thats why the Pistons had The Jordan Rules. THey knew if they could hurt Jordan and get him out of the game they knew they could beat the Bulls and I agree. The Pistons didn't have to play dirty they were a much better team than the Bulls but they didn't have Jordan.

That 11.4 apg in the finals stats, behind just Magic Johnson, I already knew about it. You brought it up already, Jordan averaged 11.4 apg in the finals going up against Magic.. but if you look at his 92 finals and 93 finals, you'll realize just how unreal Jordan was. What's the biggest thing people say about Clyde compared to Jordan? His 3pt shooting, right? In the 1992 NBA finals, Jordan set the 3pt made record with 6 in a finals half, against Clyde himself. In that series, Jordan shot 42.9% from 3pt range, and shut down Clyde on the other end with Clyde only shooting 15%. For the 93 Suns, what is it that we hear about them? That they're a great offensive team. What did Jordan do in the finals? Averaged 41 ppg the entire series, which is the record for most finals ppg in a series ever. Michael Jordan is the only player that the more you look into his career, the more legendary he becomes. He became one of the best playmaker when he's up against Magic, he became one of the best 3pt shooter when he's up against Clyde, and he became one of the greatest offensive weapon when he's up against the Suns.

I have to say, the last part you wrote is one of the best arguments i've heard so far. The deeper you look into his career, the more legendary it becomes. Thats so freakin' true. Like, what more is there to uncover, didnt we all see it already?! 😅 Yea man, i can relate to that point. It still gives you chills, its incredible even after all those years.

That 93 Finals series was one for the books. It's my favorite Finals series from the Bulls. Imo that was when they peaked. I know MJ had to retire after his Dad was murdered, but that team could've easily won 2 more championships in a row. Obviously some players like Paxson and Cartwright were aging so they needed Longley and Kerr to come in. I honestly don't know if they could have won 8 in a row if he hadn't retired though. MJ talked about not having the drive or motivation after winning in 93. I don't know if that was 100% attributed to his father's death or not. Him taking that year and half off then coming back, he had a drive and desire to get back to the level he was at prior to retiring. He would've had to find something else to push him to the next level or to maintain that momentum if he had stayed in the league. I remember MJ saying that the first 3 championships were easier because the team was more talented. From the outside, that never appeared to be true though. Especially with the 95-96 team winning 72. Those were the years that he further incorporated and mastered his fadeaway as he wasn't as explosive to the basket as he had been. 91-93 MJ was a lot more explosive going to the basket. 96-98 MJ was unstoppable in the low post.

As it pertains to MJ's assists, that was back when assists only counted when the player shot the ball immediately after having it passed to them. No dilly dallying, traveling, or step back step back to shoot the ball giving a teammate the assist who passed the ball to you 10 seconds ago like it is today.

@TheRealTact Let's get a couple of things straight. First, get your facts in order. Being a 2-TIME runner-up DPOY means he was a great defender AT LEAST TWICE, not just once. Give credit where it's due. Second, I'm not some LeBron-Stan. Jordan is the undisputed GOAT in my mind, and it isn't even a discussion. I'd take Kobe over LeBron as well, but that doesn't mean he isn't an incredible player, likely top 5 all-time. Playing at such an elite level for as long as he has is an incredible accomplishment on its own, something Jordan was unable to do, likely because he played hard on both ends of the court, and that took a toll on his body.

@@tohrazul oh boy here we go with this “elite level” bs, you clearly just watch highlights, look at box scores and call it a day. The only reason he’s getting all these points is because he’s focused on offense only and padding his stats for his meaningless longevity to keep him in the goat debate, oh wow he played for over 20 seasons and only has 4 rings to show for it. Where as Michael Jordan in way less got 6 championships undefeated. Until lebron can do that without ring chasing I don’t want to hear crap about his “incredible accomplishments”. Okay so he was an “elite defender” twice, who gives af? You’re telling me in his entire 20 season career he only played decent defense for 2? Pippen was actually in danger of being cut by Jerry Krause because of his limited offensive production but Phil Jackson saw potential especially after he had 24 points in game 5 against the Cavaliers in the 1988 playoffs. He insisted that the team keep Scottie and asked Jordan to work with him and help him develop into a more consistent scorer and it worked out well as Pippen gradually improved and became a much more consistent scorer and defender with the Bulls than he would have been otherwise.

The 1985-86 Bulls are a what-if team that few people talk about. They were coached by Stan Albeck, a guy who had a reputation for turning teams around quickly. The team went something like 12-6 with MJ in the lineup, including a 10-5 spurt down the stretch of the year to make the playoffs. The fact that Chicago came closer than any team in the post-season to beating the Celtics on the road shows, to me, what that team’s potential could’ve been had MJ not been injured for 64 games.

The Timberwolves play decent defense, MJ was one of the best defensive players ever, not just offense, although he was such a great offensive player too, MJ was a complete player, I don't see anybody with his skills and energy on both ends of the floor along with his consistency....Guys like Anthony Edwards show some good play but they don't do it consistently, of course MJ put in a ton of work, practiced a ton, always the first guy in the gym and the last to leave practice, then gave 100% during games,

The circumstances surrounding Durant deciding to the Thunder and join the Warriors was significantly different than LeBron joining the Miami Heat and then leaving to form another super team in Cleveland. I understand the dislike for him joining the team that he just lost to in the playoffs but I think it was just his second conference finals appearance in 9 seasons his best teammate also choked in the series. The team traded away his 2nd best teammate and best defensive player in Serge for Victor O. who was another ball dominant player like Westbrook who was also inconsistent. As the scoring champion in 2012 he led the Thunder to the finals and won the first game of that rigged series. Harden and Westbrook were both good young players but tried to do too much and turned the ball over a lot. Harden was allowed to leave as a restricted free agent. LeBron as a 2 time MVP who choked in the playoffs followed Chris Bosh to Miami after his 7th season and even bragged about winning 8 championships even though he and Bosh were on 7 year contracts and they never played an NBA game together yet.

Something I recently found out. Michael Jordan (along with Scottie Pippen) have the HIGHEST WINNING PERCENTAGE IN THE FINALS (playing in at least 20 games or 4 Finals appearances).... 68.6%!!! Of course Bill Russell has the MOST TOTAL.GAMES WON with 45. But counting the fact that Jordan has won 6 FMVPs to Russell's 0 FMVPs. 12 players in the History of NBA have won 6 or more championships. (Michael Jordan and Pippen: 6 with Bulls), (Kareem: 1x Milwaukee, 5x Lakers), (Robert Horry 2x Rockets, 3x Lakers, 2x San Antonio) ARE THE ONLY 4 who werent with the Boston Dynasty from 1957 to 1969.!!! But what's unfortunate was that the Finals MVP award was inaugurated after the 1969 Finals and Jerry West was the first EVER WINNER in 1970. That's probably why Russell is not recognized as a multiple time FMVP during that run.

Bro, I never even really liked basketball, but when I was a kid, I watched Jordan play every time they aired bulls games in ny. He was a wizard. Absolutely inhuman. Even as a kid, before I knew anything about statistics, you could tell you were looking at someone very special.

Which is WHY I don’t understand the hypocrisy of “I’d rather get to the Finals and LOSE than not get there at all!!” I tried explaining to a LeBron fan the logic of “Learning from your losses SO THAT YOU NEVER LOSE WHEN IT MATTERS!!” Those losses and growing pains TEACH YOU HOW TO WIN but Bronsexuals simply refuse to understand that. To them there’s more merit in losing in the Finals as opposed to losing and LEARNING before you get there 🤷‍♂️

I gotta say about the whole "Jordan didn't have a left hand" thing... that is another completely idiotic argument. There are tons of plays which show Jordan using his left hand... but that's not my point. The point is, Jordan had a SUPERHUMAN right hand! Jordan did more with his right hand than most players ever do with two hands. LeBron James would SELL HIS SOUL for a right hand like MJs. Everyone has a dominant hand -- please tell me who would NOT utilize the absolute weapon of a God-given gift as Michael Jeffrey Jordan's right hand? Who wouldn't take advantage of the incredible bionic CLAMP of a right hand that MJ had? Nobody but nobody handles the ball like MJ because they don't have MJs freakish right hand. With everything that Jordan accomplished: College, two Olympic gold medals (once as an amateur in college, once as a pro with the Dream Team), 6 championships, 10 scoring titles, DPOY, a single season with 3000+ points, 200+steals, and 100+ blocks... I could go on all day with the accomplishments, advanced metrics, etc., which prove Jordan's greatness, but to save time, I will just say this: We all know the incredibly successful career MJ had, so WHY do we care which hand he did it with? Great video -- Thank you so much!

100%! The no left narrative is so ridiculous. Another video i covered here showed that his left hand percentages are higher than most left handed players but his right is far superior to everyone else. Thank you for the kind words!

@TheRealMindCrime Thank YOU for making spectacular content! I'm officially subscribed! I'm gonna go look for your left hand video right now...i love that you debunked that garbage. It's always struck me as strange that this (fake) critisism even arose. I mean, if there was a player who, for example, was drafted high, had played for a few years and he wasn't performing anywhere near expectations, then you start pointin out things like a weak left hand. But for Michael Jeffery Jordan??? With his accomplishments, talents, statistics, dominance, etc., i don't understand why is anyone critiquing his performance? Everything he did worked really well! So I have to assume that anyone who is saying such ridiculous nonsense has got to be a Lebron James fan/promoter. But the crazy thing is, it's even MORE ridiculous for LeBron James fans to say things like 'Jordan had no left' because that only makes lebron looks even worse! Now their argument is that their 'goat' cant keep up with a one-handed Michael Jordan? And that's supposed to make LeBron look better?? 😂 I don't get it. Btw, thanks for your response!

People who say that the teams the Bulls faced during the threepeats weren't good competition are out of their mind. The only reason they seem weak is because MJ beat them all. But honestly the Knicks, Pacers, Pistons, Lakers, Portland, Phoenix, Orlando, Utah and Seattle were amazingly strong teams. The Knicks were custom built to beat MJ and they never did. MJ was simply a killer

21:03 speaking of Dumars, in the late 80s early 90s he was THE premier guard lock down defender not named MJ. No one outside of those two came close. Rodman was a very good defender, not yet maniacal, that messed with pippen hard. No one else on the bulls was a real offensive threat so the other pistons could collapse without concern. That’s the Jordan Rules.

If Kawhi Leonard or Lonzo Ball had broke there foot they’d have missed a whole season and a half, no questions asked.. they’d conveniently come back in there final contract year so they could play and get another guaranteed contract, just to load manage again and tuff it out once they were playing for the next contract!!! Zion, Lonzo, Ben Simmons, Kawhi and Melo ball, first team all cripple, should have to donate there checks to the make a wish foundation !! They are despicable..

Those kids today would've had to have been born in the 70s to really appreciate how the game has grown. I was born in the late 80s so, I can appreciate that 80s and 90s that came after. EDIT: i'm not saying previous eras With less teams on the court are any less valid than the eras that came after. I'm just saying that to nail in the head of these kids today who believe nothing they see or hear from adults would have had to be older than us and have seen it to believe it. That's pretty sad when you think about it.

Top 3 players in NBA history IMO: 1. Big O 2. Larry Bird 3. MJ I'd listen to arguments to flip-flop 2 & 3, but until someone can show me a more powerful statement than this, I have to stay this way. From Pat Riley: "If I had to choose a player. to take a shot to save a game, I choose Michael Jordan. If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life, I'd take Larry Bird."

This argument is toast. One guy changed the game forever, done nothing but win in 13 years with a stellar 2 years in DC when he was basically 40. He was/is so iconic to the entire sports world to this day 21 years later. If you didn't know anything about basketball, you still knew the name Michael Jordan globally. This dude's brand is literally more iconic than LeBronda is. The other guy has already played 21 Flippin' years with a 4 & 6 Finals record and is never going to catch his ghost. Majority rules. I promise there are waaaaaay more folks in this world who know who the 🐐 is aside from the ones who claim who the goat is. All these young guys started this crap along with ESPN. Are facts not facts anymore ? Opinions don't belong in this matter. Side note: MJ's game was beautiful to watch, and his kicks are 🔥 too. LeBronda's game is so damn boring! and his kicks are crap! Everybody's trippin' over his all time scoring record after TWENTY ONE YEARS..... besides, if MJ wanted to play 20+ years, I guarantee he would've. The thing is, after 13 years, Jordan had nothing left to prove, unlike LeBronda's 21 and counting... Seriously, how can a goat have a losing record in championship series?

OMFG, thank you for recognizing the fact that Jordan did what he did against the pistons why being tackled like a running back, and still made basically half his shots!!! I mean when you watch those games, Jordan could hardly get a shot off without a piston players hands basically holding his arms down, or flat ass throwing him to the ground. That's why that 50% isn't understood correctly, but I would bet my house Bron wouldn't even have been close to 50%.

As a person who watched and played basketball through Jordan era and Lebron. Um..... they both arent the goat. Both treated fans and teammates like crap. I grew up in Wilmington. Went to the same schools as Jordan. Everyone used to praise him here. Then he started coming into town while playing the NBA. And everyone hated him. They are both rude and disrespectful to their teammates and fan base. Neither is the GOAT. GOAT status isnt just about how good your stat lines are. Its also how you conduct yourself on and off the court. You wanta be the goat, do something like Larry Bird. Get hurt doing something for your mother, keep playing through the traumatic injury and still be one of the best in the league. If Larry hadnt broken his back, we wouldn't be having this conversation. The dude out played, out hustled, out smarted his opponents on and off the court.
