Thanks so much for making this channel I’ve watched so many of your vids! I really want to be a dermatologist, and I’m a non-traditional student too. I’m a humanities major, and next year I’ll be a senior. I only have a few premed requirements, and my health advisor said I’m going to need another year of courses to apply to med school. Do you have any recommendations for things that I should be doing as a non-trad that will make me competitive? I just started an online program to be a medical assistant, I have done research in the humanities, and I’m a part of a few organisations related to my major. I think volunteering hours are another thing I should focus on too along with getting certified as a medical assistant so I can get clinical hours

So glad that you’re enjoying my channel ☺️☺️ Some ideas include: Volunteering in medicine related activities , research in medicine if possible, def more clinical hours including more shadowing & leadership activities in well. Hope that helps!
