The lies about history were told in both countries. There was no India before the British and no Hindusthan before Ghouri. The Kingdoms from Northwest ( current Pakistan) like Maurya, Kushan, Porus, have never heard of Bharat, Hindusthna, , India or Hindu. They always attacked and massacred ganga jamuna ( current India). Mauryans alone killed 30 million Ganga jamnis and destroyed their Gods. Bro on the topic of what is a quam. You know germany before 1800s was never a single country. The Bavarians had a different culture and language from the Flanders or from north rhine-westphila. Each province of germany was a princely state with barons or zameendar who had their own culture, military, measuring units etc. Otto von Bismarck United germany stating people of the Rhine river or germans have more in common than they don't especially with their neighbors. They may not speak exactly the same language but its all from the same language tree. Theyre consider one country and quam today though east and west germay existed in 1989. Even though Shahrukh tries to come across as a modern-thinking Pakistani, we can easily figure out the lingering Islamist in him. It's very evident in his allegory statement about the Quran. If you are given a set of rules to live by wouldn't it be better if it is direct and simple so that the majority of common people can understand it rather than allegorical and open to interpretation for a minority of scholars? The reason why there is so much animosity towards Islam is because each mullah interprets it according to his own convenience. After listening to the podcast I'm sure Shahruk is on the right path regarding his career. He will be a good politician because he'll be able to talk truth to power and religion to the masses.

Alama Iqbal was a confused fellow and so is his book reconstruction of religious thought in islam. Shahrukh admits that it took him four years to understand it, therefore, what sort of book this is. I think, in the end , the guest speaker has succumbed to public pressure. All the recommended books are worth reading, to my mind. except the last one.
