This performance is simply incredible, the subtlety, refined touch on the piano, the skill of the fingering, all we can do is close our eyes and let ourselves be carried away by the melodic sound of a masterpiece!

Simply gorgeous! Debussy’s writing; just wow. He would be proud of your illustration!

Beautifully played, as many have noted, but I wanted to call attention to the engineering. It’s also beautifully micced, including what appear to be two lovely Earthworks microphones. It really brings out the depths of that gorgeous old Steinway. Great job overall! Lots of fine performers don’t realize that the hardest part of recording is getting the mics right. This excellent performer got some of the best.

Whatever the composer version of a spirit animal is, Debussy is mine. This one and La cathedrale especially. Beautiful performances, both of them, Marnie. Thank you. (Incidentally, my piano prof played this as part of our wedding prelude, so this brought back memories of a happy day,. Thanks for that, too!)

That is very kind of you to say, Judy! I was probably playing way too loudly and too late at night most of the time and I’m so sorry about that! 😂

Nothing but superb. I love seeing you at one with your instrument and the composer. Thx also to Patrick for the twin recording units- they make my Samsung Galaxy sound bell like. This used to be the theme song for AM radio station WCCO Minneapolis in the 1980s.

Wonderful interpretation, every time I hear this I think of an old astronomy show called Star Hustler later called Star Gazer, this was used as the theme song. It was a perfect choice because it has that sense of wonder and awe to it that we get when looking up at the stars at night.
